    Five-star resort, incredible views,

    by

For a bit of luxury we opted for the Maritime resort one night. in some places it seems to have been given the awful pun of 'Meritime resort, that aside the experience is very agreeable.

Situated a couple of Km's to the north (you can get to it by Sonthaw) and off the road abit, it has the appearance of some of the concrete slabs that dominate the south of Spain. It may not be in keeping with it's surrounding - but what surroundings ! - the view over the Krabi river and limestone Karsts from some rooms is very impressive & beautifully relaxing.

P.S try booking through agaencies in the town - they seemed unwilling to negotiate at the hotel itself.

Unique Quality: The pool is nice and large, and the health and beauty rooms are situated in little wooden cabins with balconies jutting out over the pool - very serene, if somwhat expensive.

There is also a lake where you can take out canoes and pedalos for a while.

Directions: 2 kms North of Krabi on the airport road - on the right hand side.

Out of Town 5 Star Hotel

    by

Great Service - The very first request that my family made was to ask for an early check-in as we reached Krabi Airport at about 8am. The hotel PR lady was on hand to assist us with the getting of the room. As they were checking us in, they provided us with cold drinks and some of the staff even took to playing with my 2-years old daughter. Everything was settled in less than 15 minutes.

The main door to the room was a bit old, but what lies within the door was a comfortable queen sized bed and enough room to move around. We even had a "postcard" view of Krabi's famous Khao Khanap Nam.

Clean sheets and fluffy pillow definitely made us sleep in alot more than we should.

Great place to stay. Lovely views, Great customer service and serene location for S$130/ night.

Unique Quality: Our full length sliding window accorded us with a wonderful view of Krabi's famous Khao Khanap Nam.

    Feeding Yourself in the Morning

    by

Morning breakfast is always a joy at this hotel. You can choose to dine Al Fresco style or in the comforts of the Air-con restaurant. My wife and I decided to dine out as there were ample shade in the outdoors and also, what better way to start your day with some fresh air.

Unique Quality: The hotel served a wide range variety of food, from Thai noodles to Asian delights to American styled bacon and eggs. What's more, they change their variety everyday. Just to let my mouth water once again, I enjoyed their freshly made Omelette, meat ball porridge, bacon and sausage and many more! They even had something that's called "Chinese Croissant" or what we call in mandarin "You tiao".

    Fantabulous View

    by

The view out of your hotel room seems like it has been lifted out of a painting. The colours of the lime stone mountain - Khao Khanap Nam - changes over the day. It's lovely when the sun sets just behind the moutain, giving it a nice silhouette.

Unique Quality: In the foreground of the picture is the little lake within the hotel. My wife and I took a slow walk around the lake. You can also choose to rent a canoe for an afternoon of fun.

    Peaceful and relaxing stay

    by

It was to my suprise that this hotel had very unique architectual and peaceful environment. It was a bit away from the city, Ao Nang. However, the scenery of the hotel's surrounding is so wonderful.

Unique Quality: Great views. Friendly staff. Good housekeeping practise.
