An okay place.

We first stayed at one of their budget rooms but we decided to upgrade which was worth it. The room was spacious with a seating area and a balcony, marble floors, the bathroom had separately shower and tub.

A solid 3.5. Rates are a bit on the expensive side. Food is so-so. Service could have been better.

The resort has villas, too.

The only way to get here is via the long-tail boat from Ao Nang or Krabi town and restaurant selection in Railay is a limited - we ended up having most of our meals at Ravayadee, we loved the two restaurants at this resort.

Unique Quality: Great location, away from the crowd.

2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Decent accomodation; remarkable location

Rooms: Most of the rooms here are bungalow style. We stayed in a “Delux Cottage”, which was plenty large for two people and could probably accommodate three. The A/C worked great, however the bathroom, while not filthy, could be cleaner.

Facilities: There is a tourist office that will book activities for you, though I think they’re paid recommend certain companies. The pool is right on the beach, and has a nice view of West Railay and the sea. The restaurant is about average compared to others in the area.

Service: Compared to the great service I experienced at other Thai hotels, the staff here was rather ambivalent and detached. With the exception of a couple people, the workers here weren’t very friendly.

Transportation note: The only way to and from Railay is by long tail boat. The quickest way from Krabi is to take a songthaew (pickup taxi) to Ao Nammao (10 minutes, 20 baht/50 cents), then a long tail boat to Railay (15 minutes, about 50 baht/$1.25). ALWAYS make a reservation with the hotel for the RETURN long tail trip to avoid getting stranded. Also, I would arrange airport transportation with the hotel to avoid complications upon your arrival.

Cost: Low season (May to October) - $30-$100/night
High season (November to April) - up to twice the cost.

Unique Quality: Bottom-line: I wouldn’t call this place much of a resort or a spa, but it does provide decent accommodation at an excellent location.
