Idylic romantic getaway
This is a lovely place for a romantic getaway. All their rooms are sea facing, it's a beautiful scenery to wake up to. There's a DVD player in the room so you can veg out in your room if you're burnt from all the tanning. The spa packages at the resort are pretty good - I went for a Swedish massage, and fell asleep at one point - which means it was effective, I think. Also, there are tours departing from the resort should you wish to go island hopping, diving or anything of that sort. It's very convenient for resort guests. Daily, there are activities like beginner's tennis, Thai cooking lessons, movie slots, kids' activities, sunset cruise etc. Almost Club Med-like. The resort caters to children, too. There's a kids' playroom and even strollers for rent. They've thought of everything! It's the little details that count for me. The fruit platter in the room, the separate shower in the bathroom (rather than showering in the bathtub), the welcome drink (especially refreshing after traveling 2 hours from the airport). Service is good at the resort, the staff are very attentive at The Watermark restaurant.
