Sun screen and more sun screen
by GracesTrips
The sun is intense but it's hard to tell because the air is hot and humid. When you're in the water, it feels cool and you have no clue that you're being burnt. Wear sunscreen and make sure to reapply sunscreen several times.

Thai noodle soup
by Sambawalk about street vendor
I enjoy eating the local food on the street as it gives you the true taste of Thai food. They are in general clean and safe, as long as you choose the hot stuff. The noodle soup may be served with beef ball or fish ball, or even chicken meat. It costs about at least 25 bahts in these days through Thailand. See more pic for the vendor.
Susan Hoi (Shell Cemetary)
by anantara
The flat rock that contains the shell fossil expands into the sea along the beach. It was smaller thatn I expected, but very interesting to see. They say there are only three more places that have this kind of fossil in the world; here, Japan and Chicago.
CAVES and ' HONGS'....
by travelagent4thailand
'HONGs' in thai, pronounced like PONG from ping pong, only with the H....means rooms.
The cave tours are interesting and can drive your adrenaline and intensity up the walls.
These caves can only be entered at certain times of the days due to the tides that may hide them under waters! Imagine yourself laying flat on the canoe with sharp lime cone formations drooping down from the ceiling of these caves, just centimeters away from tearing up your flesh! oh no, don't be discouraged, you must check it out.
Some of these cave inlets lead you to a huge internal lagoon and open skies...amazingly quiet too!
in these caves, take a good 'sniff' the aroma of the bats, icky, but a good experience...hahha. you will also see bird's nest (in reality = they are birds' vomits, rich in protein and good health benefits) that are sold in Hong Kong markets at times as high as US$90 per gram!!!!
my picture on the left shows, a cave where once 'vikings' around the area roamed back in the days....there are still painting remnants on the cave walls. (i still don't know if these vikings were full bearded western or asian sea dwellers = food for thought)...
go and and see...
