Value for money!

There are good eatery outlets opposite the Hotel and location is convenient. The receptionists are not very conversant in english, but if you are willing to exercise a bit of patience, you will not regret. Rooms come with different prices depending on the amenities that come with them. Cheap ones come with fan and no hot water, while the most expensive ones come with air-condition, hot water and bath tub. I got an in-between one that cost 500 Baht and it comes with air-condition and hot water but no bath tub. The corridor was a bit dim at night with low lighting. I guess they must be using limited energy-saving light bulbs to save electricity. The room interior has a typical 4-5 star hotel furnishing. While the furniture and fixtures look a bit old, they are relatively clean. The carpet especially, looks old and worn. All the things inside that should be working worked well. CRT TV is still being used here inside the room. The exterior of the building though looks really old. If anything, I would recommend they spruce it up with a fresh coat of paint.

If you prefer to dine in at the Hotel, the cafeteria at the lobby area just in front of the reception offers a good choice of food. An American Breakfast(ABF) set costs 110 Baht, not too hefty a price although you could get something similar but cheaper out there.

They have many WIFI connections to serve guests but the service is dismal. I could hardly get a proper connection for long simply because connection was frequently breaking off until I gave up.

All in all still, for 500 Baht, this a real value for money deal!

Unique Quality: The laundry service is reasonable and excellent. After coming back from a 3 days 2 nights hike at Khao Luang National Park, I had a a few pieces of dirty laundry to take care of. For 81 Baht, I had my 7 pieces of dirty laundry, washed, ironed, scented and delivered to my room at 4pm the very day I sent for washing. But you have to send them before 10am that very morning.

This hotel is well located, near the train station, some restaurants and a Carrefour supermarket with some restaurants on the upper floor. I had a large superior room with a really wide double bed that measured 7ft across! The room came with a/c, TV, fridge, ceiling fan, small table and 2 chairs, small desk & mirror, and a bright yellow-tiled bathroom that had an electric hot water shower and was nice and clean. All of this cost 450 baht. The staff are nice and friendly plus there’s a coffee shop on the ground floor, across from reception where you can get a western breakfast, although the eggs came cold which I sent back to get nice warm ones!) Nice place.
