Fantastic for Families
My family and I stayed at the Allamanda Laguna Phuket in April 2008.
Although not situated on the beach, it is very easy to travel to other Laguna properties and also enjoy their facilities. The shuttle bus and boat on the lagoon are both very accessible.
We had booked a golf course view 2 bedroom appartment and our first impressions were of the huge amount of space that we had. A separate room with twin beds for our son and his own bathroom and tv along with a very large living and dining area. A self contained kitchen is also a bonus with children.
The resort has 3 swimming pools and although some of the other resorts have more spectacular pools, these are very adequate and not overly crowded. Our accommodation was very clean and any small maintenance problems we had were quickly taken care of. The staff were all very friendly and helped us in any way that they could. I would highly recommend this style of accommodation for anyone looking for space and quiet, peaceful surroundings.
Unique Quality: The Allamanda caters particularly well for families and this was very evident each morning at breakfast where the staff were always attentive to children.
Our son was unwell one night and housekeeping were very efficient in cleaning and preparing our room first thing in the morning.
I was lucky enough to enjoy the Angsana spa and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for some special time out.
Reception staff were always friendly and concierge were the same, often enjoying a joke with our son.
Our appartment overlooked the golf course which was very relaxing.
On the whole I would recommend this property in every sense. We chose this for value for money and that was exactly what we got. Phuket is a fantastic place for a holiday and we will definately be back.

A Piece of Paradise
Lovely, spacious suite, overlooking a beautiful lagoon, swimming pools, open air restaurants, bars, miles of sandy beach... A piece of Paradise on Earth...
Unique Quality: Above all, friendly staff. Spectacular views of the lagoon.

Family Accomodation
Our family 2 adults,3 children) stayed at this hotel in December 2005. We had a great time and loved the fact you jumped on the boat that took you across the lake to the private beach.
The hotels beach boys are really good especially "YaYa".
We stayed in a 2 bedroom Fairview suite which looked onto the golf course. The suite was really big with 2 bathrooms, 2 Tv`s and 2 stocked fridges that our children had been raiding for 2 days before we realised...lol. That cost us!! Maid service was everyday which was great...fresh towels and sheets with a warm smile. Some toiletries were provided free along with housecoats.
There was no hotel entertainment at night so Cartoon Network entertained the children at nightime.
The hotel food was delicious but 4* prices. Still it didnt stop us from eating at the hotel after all we were on holiday. Room service was fab.
The taxi drivers that sat outside the hotel will rip you off as soon as look at you. They can be very annoying to say the least.
I would rate this hotel a 3* and not 4* as stated. Needs to be repainted and freshened up a bit.
Would we go back? No, due to its location. We spent a fortune on taxis.
If you do decide to holiday here, make sure your suite is in the main reception building then you dont have to pass the intimidating taxi drivers who constantly shout "taxi" at you as you pass by .
Unique Quality: The beach service the boys from the hotel provide.
Go to Popeyes restaurant...delicious food at great Thai prices

Fab Beach
When we arrived we were greeted with a ginger & lemongrass drink...Yummy !! We upgraded our room to a lagoon view and it was fantastic ! It has a huge lounge and closed off bedroom. The pool isnt so big but you only have to take the lagoon boat across to the beach access...and there you have it..a vast clean & EMPTY white sand beach (Bang Tao). The hotel staff were very very friendly and like to have a giggle, which we enjoyed. We would come back here definately as it was informal and wasnt as busy as the other hotels on the lagoon !
Unique Quality: There are 5 hotels on the Phuket Laguna complex, you can eat at any and it automatically gets charged to yourroom (the waiters at our hotel knewwe'd eaten elsewhere and thought we were traitors!). You can get anywhere by lagoon boat, or golf buggy or the V fun tuk tuk to other resorts !

Allamanda Ferry service
The ferry takes you all over the laguna area. Great way to view the full laguna area. You can use it to go to the beach or to any of the other resorts within the Laguna area

Take it easy
This shuttle is for residents who are a bit far from the main lobby area of teh Allamanda. The shuttle drops you from the lobby to your room. We had a fairway view room so used it whenever we would go out. You just call the lobby to ask for the shuttle to pick u up

Free Transport within the Laguna
Free shuttle Transport is available from the Allamanda to various other hotels within the Laguna area. Dusit Laguna, Sheraton Laguna, Laguna Beach Club and the Banyan Tree are the other hotels in the Laguna Group and within the Laguna Complex at Bangtao Beach. Free shuttle bus, Free ferry transport and free golf cars are available to take the residents of the complex to anywhere within the Launa Beach Complex.

Allamanda Laguna Phukett Area
My wife and I are staying at the Allamanda Laguana Phukett this Novermber 2004 in the golf course jr. suites. I am interested in others who have stayed here and their opinions. Also, what is the best method to get around Phukett without renting car or motorcycle. Also, what are the best beaches for swimming and snorkeling nearby.
