    Lovely resort hotel past the sound end of Patong beach. Excellent location, pleasant and comfortable rooms and good service. You do need transport to and from Patong but tuk tuks are available.

    Ideal for those wishing a quiet and relaxing resort hotel in Patong

    If you are looking for relaxation, this is the place. We loved everything about this hotel. The staff are welcoming and friendly, yet unobtrusive. The rooms are comfortable and very clean and all 3 restaurants serve food of excellent quality. The garden setting of the hotel is well maintained as is the walkway out to the hotel's private pier.

    The hotel also has it's own day spa which offers all the spa treatments you could ever wish for. We would recommend having the massage for 2 at beachside - absolute luxury.

    A fee shuttle bus service is available to take you down to Kata beach daily.

    The hotel has 2 pools and there are ample sunbeds and towels provided. Some nice surprises at poolside were balls & rings to float around on and cold towels delivered to cool you down during the hottest time of day.

    As well as having beautiful views of the sea from all rooms there were other special touches such as having beds turned down each night with a singapore orchid left on the bed; little food surprises left in the room throughout our stay (bowl of fruit, shortbread & jam, chocolate brownies); daily newspaper, slippers & gown.

    It's the little things that make a holiday special.

    • What a delight this hotel was. We have stayed in the Amari in Samui and this is why I booked this one. The service was exceptional and genuine. Food very good and i did not think too over priced.
    Not a hotel for people with walking difficulties as it feels like a trek to everest base camp to reception!
    there is also a bit of a hike from town but this is good a s you are not in the middle of that mayhem they call patong.

    The service, breakfast and meals was generally good. Staff was generally very courteous.

    I had the unfortunate luck of being assigned a room with some electrical faults. When I arrived, one of the lights could not be turned off. I was very tired after flying all the way from New Zealand and was inconvenienced by their attempts to repair it while I was asleep. Anyway they sent a nice complementary fruit basket as a gesture of apology. Then that very same night I was awaken at 3 AM by what I thought was an alarm clock which later turned out to be a faulty transformer of some sort from the air-conditioning system. They had a maintanence person look at the room and by that time I was wide awake, this pretty much ruined the following day. An upgrade to a nicer deluxe room was granted only after a request. Another apologetic fruit basket followed.

    Other than initial bad-luck the subsequent room were fault free. The deluxe rooms are situated deeper and futher away from the lobby than the standard rooms.

    There are 2 pools at this hotel. The new pool situated near the deluxe rooms also incorporates a child friendly pool. Spa treatments are available at the pool as well as a purpose built spa facility.

    At most of Patong beach, a road separates the resorts from the beach. You will have to cross the road to get to the beach. This means the beaches are less private and you have to rent beach front deck chairs. Amari coral is the exception as being based on the very southern tip of Patong beach, it is one of the very few resorts with a beachfront. The beaches are more private at this resort.

    The rooms are terraced, so everyroom is an oceanview room unlike some other resorts that have a cheaper garden facing room.

    Amari was not perfect but good. It was up the hill from Patong Beach with its mess. It was impossible to swim the sea from the beach but you could always swim from the pier. Besides the swimming pools were good. Our room was on the second floor with a terrific sea view. Though it was too close to the lobby. Every evening there were life concerts up to 23pm or later. So if you are going to bed before 23pm you better take a room away from the lobby.Staff was friendly though I've got an impression they understood my english better than I got theirs:)

    • We stayed at this splendid property from June 10th to June 13th 2008. Everything was awesome about it. Great Rooms (go for Deluxe instead of Superior).. Helpful staff..good food and above all fabulous views of the Patong Bay..All in all it was a truly memorable experience for us..

    • Fabulous location and the room etc was good. Good place to stay when visiting Patong.

    Felt I had to write to let everyone know that phuket and in particular Patong has recovered well from the tsunami,all it needs now is tourists to spend their money here,

    We stayed at the hotel Amari Coral Beach in Patong,great hotel,the staff are wonderful,nothing is to small for them to fix for you ,we were upgraded to a deluxe room and it was lovely,obviously redone after the tsunami,but really clean,fresh towels etc everyday,

    we were well looked after. Particular praise to the manager Daniel,the restaurant manager Veena and the pool barman Arthit,also the towel fella Sanje.

    Many thanks to everyone at the amari .

    Amari Coral beach is just great ,i would like to thank all the staff there, they are very polite ,the sea view is just great ,calming ,i recommend 100 percent ,the rooms are clean ,and the room service is great, me and my wife enjoyed a lot our stay ,the picture attached is the view from our room

    You cannot deny this is a top notch resort.

    On arrival the (other) guests appeared to look down their noses at us. Perhaps we did look a little dishevelled but then who wouldn't after trotting around northern Thailand without a care?

    The room was fabulous and, being our honeymoon, we were treated to a cake wishing us a happy honeymoon and also a constantly replenished (large) bowl of fruit - yum yum! The hotel facilities were also of a very high standard.

    The staff - were absolutely lovely. We would sit in the bar at night after all the Americans and Germans had retired and we would chat with the staff. We purchased little lasers and, after getting the geckos (on the walls) to line up we would get them to chase the red dot of the laser and thus have gecko races with the staff!

    The grounds are kept in amazing order and are abundant with wildlife if you are aptient or lucky. We were, one evening, ambling about when suddenly a lizard ran out in front of us, raised in frill in an angry manner, hissed rather temperamentally at us and then skitted off!

    The resort has it's own slice of Patong and whilst we stayed we were the only people who ventured down to the beach/sea. It hasn't the best snorkling but we happy with what we did see and very excited with our little rock lobster.

    Liked it very much! rivate beach, large gaden, wonderful Italan restaraunt and all rooms with the view of the sea. No noise and streattraders, wonderful atmosphere.

    Private beach, you can go snorkling directly from the pier. Wonderful corals ans a lot of fish
