I had booked this Hotel online on Expedia after doing some extensive research AND I was not disappointed. Apart from its location (being slightly to the back of the main hub of Patong) my daughter and I loved the Andakira Hotel. We paid only $80 a night for a pool access room and we happened to receive the BIGGEST pool access room available as it was on a slight corner and therefore slightly larger. Call it an upgrade if you will, we were not complaining at all!!!
Staff were pleasant. The room was very spacious. Only real problem was that there was no actual shower in the bathroom. Only a bath with an attached shower head, but this was not a major problem.
Breakfast was included in our price and even though it was basic, it was satisfactory. The pool area is rather small but once again very adequate.
Just be aware that when we were there in September/October 2012 there was some major construction work going on next door which did generate a bit of noise, but nothing terribly bad that it would interfere with your stay.
One other slight problem we encountered while staying here (in the rainy season lol!!!) was that on one day we were actually flooded into and then out of the Hotel, due I guess to bad drainage on surrounding streets!!! I did actually read a few warnings about this on various sites and did not believe it was possible BUT IT IS!!!
Unique Quality: Ask for the corner pool access room on level 3 as I am positive it is the BEST room in the entire hotel at a super cheap price of only $80 per night, which includes free brekky and free wi-fi!!!!
Directions: One street back from Ratuthit Road, a few blocks from Jungceylon Shopping Centre, but walking distance to all main attractions.
