Andaman Cannacia Resort

I simply love the hotel.. Price was affordable, staff were friendly, food were great.. We stayed in a Canna Deluxe Room- very private with a jacuzzi in the balcony.

It is located on a steep hill but it is not impossible to walk up and down. You can also take a taxi or tuk tuk for a small amount of money.. There is also a free minibus service every hour from 9am to 5pm to/from the hotel & Kata Beach...

However, the only cons that i got was that i was made to pay some phonecalls that was charged to my room and calls were made when i was not in.. The total cost of the calls were Thai Baht 600+..

Unique Quality: Some rooms have private jacuzzi in the balcony and usually they have great seaviews...

We enjoyed a few days stay at this hotel in Jan 2005. Our room was pleasant, clean and had everything you needed. From our balcony you had a great view of the bay, it was lovely to drink you early morning coffee and watch that lovely scene. Although as you can imagine in Jan it was deserted. I would choose a room with a view of the bay or the pool. There was a block of rooms near the restaurant that looked very dark and I cant imagine they had a view of anything. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the town so great if you want a bit of peace and quiet. It is up a steep hill which was why it had the great view. We used to walk down and tuk tuk back as we did not want the climb up the road back to the hotel. The hotel has its own mini bus that it runs in to town. Not sure how often it runs as the service was not available because the hotel only had about 6 guests due to the Tsunami .We only ate breakfast there but it was fine, plenty of choice and friendly staff.

Unique Quality: Lovely reception area, two great pools,friendly staff and a lovely view from many of the rooms.
