This was our second stay at the Andaman Seaview Resort and I can not say enough about the place. To begin with we only paid $53.00 night including a full breakfast buffet every morning from March 1-12. It is not located directly on the beach but is a short block walk to the beach. There is not anything blocking the seaview. The rooms are basic and clean. The staff is very friendly and accomodated our every need.
Unique Quality: The breakfast buffet that they served every morning was outstanding. You could actually get all three of your daily meals off this buffet. It offered an egg station to get whatever kind of eggs you likes, breads, pastries, fruit, juices, milk, coffee, tea, salads, lunch meats and cheeses, potatoe of the day, pancakes, french toast, bacon, sausage and many thai food offerings.

There are a few modest places in the area - it is not all upscale stuff.
Try Bangtao Lagoon Bungalow - as low as B500 in low season:

There are actually 5 porched restaurants next to each other located on the Beach Rd in Karon in front of the Andaman Seaview Resort. They all display their fresh seafood at the front of the restaurant for you to chose. Although they basically offer anything that you would like from Hamburgers to Spaghetti. Service is great at all 5 locations and very cheap. The one downer is that the street hawkers come in the restaurant and try to sell you various items when you are trying to eat. Been past that hotel, it's really nice. might see you out there! at the andaman seaview from 23 april till 8 may. Do you know what the weather is like for this time of year though? have a great holiday.
