I stayed here using some kind of special deal. Now I know why it was so cheap... Right off the back, the receptionists were extremely rude when we came to check-in. They wanted to charge us for every little thing that we did.
The rooms had bugs all inside and it was extremely dirty. I brought my iPad along on the trip with me and once I got to the airport, it was no longer in m bag. We left our stuff with the bellhops at the front entrance when we went on a tour, so either they or housekeeping took it.
Afte realizing it was missing, I called the resort and they were basically yelling at me and telling me they didn't have it. I have never had such a terrible experience on a vacation.
DON'T STAY HERE.
Unique Quality: NOTHING. Can find a better place that is cleaner and closer to the beach.

Super pleasant stay, cocktailbar in the swimmingpool with bubblebath, nice view over the sea from the swimming pool, one of the best hotels, very luxury Spa Resort.
Only breakfast a bit too 'oriental' minded, but we are in Asia ;)
We are a group of 14 going to Phuket and Bangkok for the first time, We are looking at the Asia Hotel or the Menam Hotel in Bangkok for 4 nights and the Kamala Bay Terraces or the Aquamarine Resort in Phuket for 10 nights. Can anyone tell us what they are like? Ten of our group are aged 15 - 20 and the other 4 are their mad parents that agreed to go along. LOL

I can only comment on the Asia which is a good medium class hotel in Bangkok and in a reasonable location.
Kamala is one of the quieter beaches on Phuket.

Asia & Menam hotel are super old hotel. That's all i know
Asia Hotel is on a skytrain station so it is very easy to get around, obviously an important issue when there is so many of you. It also has a pool and is about mid range
