 | | | | Boat Lagoon Resort: Apartments Compare Rates NEW! | Tip Rating: Satisfaction: | | | | |
The Boat Lagoon Resort consists of three types of accommodation; hotel, apartment or condominium. The apartments overlook the marina, giving a nice view and feel. They are self-contained and basic, but fairly nice. They are available as one bedroom or two. All apartments are accessed by stairs, so be aware if stairs are a problem for you. Also, many Korean tourists on package tours stay here and are extremely noisy, often arriving at all hours of the night, so avoid these apartments if you're easily disturbed. Housekeeping is generally twice per week. Bookings are made through the hotel.
The Boat Lagoon Resort has many facilities including pools, tennis courts, gym, jacuzzi, sauna, restaurants, supermarket, banks, money exchange, bars and bakery. There is also a shuttle and taxi service. | | | | Sea Sun Sand Resort: Cheap hotel (in any way) | Tip Rating: Satisfaction: | | | | |
We booked this hotel, because the other ones we already have been in have been damaged by the Tsunami and were still in Renovation when we came here. The hotel is located on the road a littlöe more in the back of Patong, but there is only a few minutes walk away from the beach, Bangla road and there are also many shops and restaurants in the area.
I was surprised how cheap it was and the first look was really good. Open Reception, friendly people, garden in the middle with swimming pool (not very big, but there), clean rooms, too. So far so good. Now comes what buggered me here. I would advise against this hotel if you are a family with children travelling or if you really want to get some rest in the night. It was quiet enough what concerns the surroundings (no street sound or els), BUT the walls are thin and this is what we call a real "Bumshotel". Meaning every night we had to listen to our neighbour(s) having (loud) sex with prostitutes and such. And I mean every night. From what I heard of other guests we met it was the same in other parts of the same hotel. I wish they would separate the sex-tourists from the normal visitors, but before they do ... well, I would not come here again. I sure wish I could say different. | | | | C & N Resort & Spa: Best Place to Stay in Patong | Tip Rating: Satisfaction: | | | | |
I love this place! (almost so much I don't want to put it in here, fir fear it might fill up!) It is a great location, great room, and a great price. This is the C & N Resort, not the C & N Hotel - same owner different location. The rooms are clean, modern, marble floors, balcony, granite bathrooms, minbar. Hillside location provides a great view (make sure you get a room on one of the top floors) The hotel is small, maybe 50-60 rooms. The pool is beautiful as well with fountains and breakfast is included. My room was VERY simular to the one in Kata, but a fraction of the price (less then 1/2) - about 1500 BHT a night.
They prvide a free shuttle from the Airport (1 way only) But you must call ahead and ask them to pick you up when you book, make reservation.
