    i did not stay here now but visited and seems very nice and wish to stay next time to enjoy some luxuries as well. Well furnished standard rooms with flagstone soil and rattan-furniture. All rooms offer shower, WC, air-conditioning, cover ventilator, telephone, Sat-TV, mini bar and balcony or terrace. The Tropica Bungalow lodgings are comfortable and clean rooms for visitor, who search for the optimal price achievement ratio. The hotel is in direct vicinity of purchase possibilities, restaurant, pub and the Patong beach.

    - Equipment - Cozy bungalow-unit with luxurious tropical garden and a swimming pool with suns terrace. One-story hotel-buildings and bungalows at ground level. Popular specialty restaurant to the roadside. - Sport offers and maintenance - Swimming pool, water sport possibilities at the Patong Beach. - Activities - Excursions can be booked over the Tour-counter of the hotel, or at the reception. At our Tour Counter various leisure time activities like canoeing, jungle safaris, trekking or dipping routes can be booked. The Patong beach is distant only 80 meters from the Resort.

  • This is quite a nice hotel but only really for those who are fit and capable of climbing loads of stairs. There are very few rooms which would be accessible to someone in a wheelchair for example. We were sent here for one night because of a mix up with the resort we'd originally booked and unfortunately for my mother, who has some walking difficulty, we were right at the back on the top floor - over 100 steps (we counted!). There are a couple of lifts dotted around but still there are steps to climb, so please take that into account if you are travelling with anyone who might not be able to manage the stairs. Once in the room though the views we had were lovely and the rooms themselves were clean, tidy and fairly comfortable. I'm not really one for big hotels like this but it was OK for a one night stay.

    There is a nice pool, but unfortunately it was closed and being boarded over for the New Year's party. I thought this was a bit strange as I'm sure that most people (who seemed to be from Europe) have gone there to enjoy the pool, not to dance over the top of it!

  • Twinpalms is one of the best quite beach location hotels we have ever stayed in. The beach area is a little crowded but not the section reserved for the hotel. The design of the hotel is magnificent and the pool runs the whole length of the hotel. Some rooms even lead straight into the pool. Customer service is excellent and the staff all make you feel really special. In this area we would definitely not go anywhere else.

  • It was a dream place. It is located on the rocks next to the water so that at night you feel you are inside the water. You can hear the waves break at the beach. You go down your room and get into the water if the tide is high. It is run by a very friendly Swiss couple who do everything to make you feel comfortable. The place has a restaurant which cousine is so good that I totally reccomend it although it is a bit more expensive than the other little restaurant you have next door. There is also a Reggae bar next to the hotel and it is just excellent to have some cocktails while you watch the sunset. People who work at the bar have a great attitude.

    You don´t have to walk to the beach..you are at the beach.

    we got a room for 500b, good for two so we paid 250b each. we had a hard time looking for a cheaper one so we ended up here. anyway it was really worth it.

  • Location was rught across the st from the beach. Top floor rooms had a nice ocean view. Price was 800 baht, room had a/c sat TV, mini bar. Relatively clean, basic accomodation, nothing to get excited about but it was nice. I had envisioned a bungalow on the beach, where u opened the door and there was sand at your footsteps. That wasnt exactly the case!

    good sized rooms with a reasonable balcony, go for the pool view upgrade unless you want a view of the hotel next door. breakfast is well worth it, heaps to choose from, hot and cold. directly located across the beach and next to all the shopping you could want, 5- 10 minute walk from all the nightlife.

    three large pools ranging from 8ft deep, to kiddy wading areas, grest for the family as well as couples.

    i always stay at patong area for convenience, easier to get around and everything u will need is nearby. this place is away from the main action but just a few mins walk and u will reach the hub of patong. it was built last year. rooms r nice and clean. paid abt 1200bht (promotion rate if u stay 4 nights + free airport to hotel transfer) for a double room and got a free upgrade to deluxe (cos it was very quiet). skip breakfast there, very standard and simple. basic facilities but the staff are nice and friendly.

    its clean, that's good enough reason for me.

Try Bangtao Lagoon Bungalow - as low as B500 in low season: http://www.phuket-bangtaolagoon.com/rate.html Try also somewhere like Bang Tao Chalet at: http://www.phuketgoldcoast.com/Bangtao_Beach_Chalet.htm A small, but still relatively modest, boutique bungalow place.
