Lovely, lovely resort on Patong Beach
We loved Baan Laimai!!! The resort was just so lovely. We stayed there for 4 days and the staff were always so helpful despite their limited English. It was the best place to call home on Patong Beach since it's right in the middle of all the action. As soon as you step out, you're right across the beach. Everything is within walking distance. And their beautiful pool was always warm and refreshing after a long day out on the beach. Their rooms were big and spacious, plus they gave us a room with not only a window but our own private terrace that looked out on to the pool (and this was just one of their standard rooms). Complimentary breakfast buffet wasn't bad either. The only downside would have to be the shower since there were a few times that the water would just run out in the middle of a shower but would always come back on after a few seconds. Other than that, everything was great!!! Baan Laimai has a great seafood restaurant out front with a good Filipino band playing every night. This didn't bother us since we would always get to bed after 1am when they finish playing but might be a problem for early sleepers who are given rooms in the front building. If you don't wish to be bothered by the band at night, tell the receptionist to give you a room at the back of the resort. (booked the hotel with a package thru phuket-travel.com)
Unique Quality: The pool was always gorgeous. Staff were always very accomodating. We loved our view from our private terrace of the pool. It made every morning we spent there beautiful. :)

Good location, nice swimming pool
Beautiful room, very big and luxurious and a nice locarion, close to the beach. The swimming pool was huge with heaps of sunbeds.
Unique Quality: Beautiful swimming pool and very close to the Patong beach.

Hi,
I am an Indian boi, going to visit Phuket during 12-16th Apr. It is my first trip to phuket. Please let me know the happening events/places for gay ppl.

dont know anything about the gay scene in Thailand but came across a website offering gay tours in Thailand other day when I was looking for daytrips in Bangkok, www.utopiatours.com hope it helps
