Very bad experience--Go elsewhere!!

Booked for us by someone else. No elevator. Garbage dump immediately adjacent to hallway to our room. Beds were like a board, actually hurt to lie on. Air conditioner never cooled. Rattling pipes inside the walls was a constant bother. Shower only a drizzle. Staff has "convenient" English. Left after one night. Other review was 2004; by 2006, this place had gone down---waaaaaaaay down. Went to Grand Tropicana for less money and it was luxurious.

Hello everyone,

Has anyone stayed at the following hotels/resorts that can give me some feedback on the following hotels:
- Baan SUKHOTHAI
- Horizons

I am particulary interested in the cleanliness and noise factor, considering the locations of both resorts.

I have not stayed in either, but I would think that Horizons would be the quieter of the two based on my knowledge of the locations. Baan Sukothai is right in the middle of the busiest part of the entire island, at least Horizons is a 10 minute walk away from Soi Bangla.
