    When we first planned our holiday to Phuket we read through the airline's holiday brochure and also asked forumites questions and finally decided on the banthai. Mainly because we liked the idea of a room which had direct access to the pool. The Banthai was described in the brochure as a standard hotel but it looked very nice and was certainly the most central to all that Patong beach had to offer so we went ahead and booked it for 10 days. We certainly were not disappointed. The rooms were superb and the direct access to the pool was even better than we had imagined. You exited the room by a sliding door and literally fell off the balcony into the water. and the pool bar was 10 metres away! I can thoroughly recommend the Banthai it is far from a standard hotel
