C & N Hotel Patong

I got a twin room for 900baht per night. Breakfast not incl. unfortunately but if you're in Patong I dun think you'll be able to wake up in the morning afterall. The hotel is a good walking distance to Soi Bangla, the heart of the night scene. The room has a balcony which is awesome and right blow is a small bar, it can be a little noisy but that's what Patong is about! I was on the 2nd floor and I partied on my balcony instead of going downstairs :P

Unique Quality: Good location!
Very near to Soi Bangla!
For the price I paid, the room is pretty big and nice!

Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort

by chantalleptos

Hello,

I am thinking of staying here with my partner in November. I have read mostly good reviews but I have also read some very bad reviews about how old and outdated this resort is. These bad reviews generally date back to 2007. Does anyone know whether the resort has been updated/renovated between 2007 and 2010?

Any feedback both positive and negative is much appreciated!

C.

some years ago I promised myself I would not go to stay a night in a Meridien again for many reasons, beside in this I've been there one afternoon last August, the place seems to be nice and good, I did enjoyed my staying but stil I'd not stay in a Meridien (to be short after thing went better.... they told me it was not their fault I've been sick after their beakfast, actually I was going to die for their f*ck*ng fault)

Travel Tips for Phuket

PATONG BEACH

by LysDor

I managed to get some sun for one day - this whole day was dedicated to pleasures of the beach!

Notice the woman sitting behind me - the sand was so hot she had to stop for a while under my umbrella as she was barefoot!

less is best

Day pack
Small luggage bag. Sarong/s, bathers, shorts, singlests. Long sleeved shirt and long shorts or skirt if visiting temples. Good hiking sandals. Flip flops. Normal basics plus sunscreen. Bring your own snorkel gear if you have it. Beach towel. Hat. Sunglasses

Tunnel cave

by robertgaz

At some islands there are partially submerged grotoes that can be entered by small boats during low tide.

Swiftlets have made their nests in some of these caves where locals come to 'farm' these nests to be used in 'bird's nest soup'.

The broth that is made from the bird saliva holding the nest together is a highly prized Chinese delicacy.

SINO Phuket

by imstress about SINO Phuket

I brought two of my dress and a blouse from SINO Phuket.

As Jungceylon is newly opened, the business here is slow. So you could get real bargains here if you know the “market price” outside. There are lots of shoes, clothings, sun glasses on sale here at the open air stalls. dress THB200

ROCK CITY

by STRATOS79 about Clubs, bars, go go

Rock city is probably the best place for all the rock fans with live music from 11:00 and with 3 or 4 bands every night (Tribute bands Mettalica U2 OASIS BON JOVI and many more depending on the night)
