Club Andaman Beach Resort

We stayed at Club Andaman Beach Resort (Cottage Type) for 2 weeks. They have hotel type of accomodation and the cottage type.The place is relatively big..with 2 swimming pools (closes at 9), restaurants, souvenir shops, Spa, kids play room etc. etc. The only drawback staying in a cottage type of room is the smell of the bamboo materials that they used. Also, the location is sourrounded by trees and plants which made it susceptible and a nice hiding ground for mosquitoes and other insects.

Although they fumigate every other day or if requested, still you will be prone to insect bites. So, prepare your off lotion ;-)

Nevertheless, our stay was good.

Unique Quality: a. easy access to Patong Beach.
b. Coffee World is just few steps away.
c. Very accessible to malls, cafe's and shops.
d. They have special activities for the kids evryday.Either football or basketball
e. Kids room or play room for toddlers are provided with resort staff who can take care of them.
f. Nice selection of food at their restaurant

Club Andaman Beach Resort (More Photos)

I thought I would post some more photos of Club Andaman as it is such a beautiful place to stay.

Have lunch by the pool, their Club Sandwiches and Chicken Satay's are the best!!

Club Andaman Beach Resort

Four of us stayed at Club Andaman in 2 of their cottages.

Initially we were not happy with the cottages we were given, they were to close to the ones in front, no view or air flow.
Staff were very helpful, showing us balcony rooms in the main building and different cottages.

We did not like the balcony room, it was a bit small and very tired looking, it was also raining at the time and there was no protection from the rain at all on the balcony.

After looking at some more cottages we decided on Room 016, any of the 3 cottages in that block are good, my sister and her husband had room 034 (I think)which was also good area.

These cottages were perfect, only views of the gardens and pools in front of us. Cleaning ladies were lovely, lots of days we would come back and find nice little arrangments of flowers in our room.

All staff were very friendly from reception to pool boys. Have no complaints re this hotel at all.

Unique Quality: Cottages are a reasonable size with inroom safe, tea/coffee making facilities and important for us a coffee table with 2 armchairs.

There is also a table and 2 chairs outside the room. Pool area is very beautiful and big, lovely place to rest and relax.

This hotel is over the road from the beach and next to shops, restaurants, ATM's, massage places etc.

Beautiful lush green spacious grounds and the pools are lovely. The location is great, in the quieter northern end of Patong Beach.

Many restaurants, atms, shops very close by and a nice playground on the beach for little ones directly over from the hotel.

A family hotel

We stayed here 4 days in August 2005. I booked the hotel on their website 3 days before arriving and even paid in advance. I even informed them by email. Unfortunately, they have outsourced their internet booking and by the time we reached they had not received the information. However, they are accommodating and apologised for the error. Be careful booking on their website.

The hotel is very nice. We have three kids (9, 8 and 3 months). There's a kid's club where my two grown up children would go and play while we stayed with the baby in the room. The staff would go and play the playstation with my son so he had company. The kid's club has playstation and some other activities that kept the kids busy. The pool was very nice and overall the staff were very friendly.

The room did not have any carpets which for our baby was very good - keeps the room clean from dust.

The corridors were not air-conditioned so the minute we left the room we would feel warm. The place is very green and beautiful. The food is not so good but a 2 minute walk from the hotel and there are many food joints - much cheaper and delicious food. I would always pick it up from the stalls. I also got our laundry done from one of the shops next to the hotel - very cheap if you want only washing and of course they fold the clothes so for t-shirts and under clothes, that's fine.

We arranged our tours from the hotel - it wasn't much more expensive that from outside. Hired a car (volvo) with driver for 1500 bahts for 5 hours and told him to take us to places we wanted to see.

Unique Quality: Great view, lovely pool and friendly staff.

Peaceful place in lush gardens

Really good hotel with very friendly staff. The surrounding grounds were beautiful. Lots of flowers, squirrels, frogs, butterflies, gekkos and enormous snails!!. They also have a nice pool area, the rooms were very nice, and they had a great 3 piece band when we where there that play well into the night. The food was very good from room service and pool service but we found the food unexciting in the restaurants and other priced. Better to eat at any of the many places in walking distance.

Unique Quality: The hotel does offer a range of activities that were good. I learned Batik with my daughters and did a cooking course with my husband. It was lots of fun watching him do all the work. When it was done the staff set a table for the two of us in a secluded garden and left us alone to enjoy it!

Nice Hotel by the Patong Beach

They offer exceptionally good rates, and the location is wonderful. They are simply across the road from the beach. They offer traditional hotel style rooms and also bungalows. The gardens and pool are lovely, and really help to create a relaxed atmosphere
