This hotel is back side of the Duangjitt resort and offer spacious room on a 2 floor bulding. Open air reception and lovely pool. Standard service, the beach is about 150m far.
Unique Quality: Good location, cheap
Directions: On the south of Patong
This hotel is located in Patong, the busiest area in Phuket. It somehow manage to remain secluded and quiet. The hotel is not that big, only about 83 rooms. It is surrounded by coconut trees and a well maintained garden.
I was given the ground floor room facing the pool.Even though we were in front of the pool, there are plants and trees separating us from the view of the pool and vice versa, giving us the privacy needed. All rooms have a balcony.
The rooms and toilets are very spacious and clean. There is nothing fanciful about the decor inside. The rooms have basic amenities like mini bar and TV. It does not have any coffee or tea making facilities but one can request for hot water anytime.
Bath tub, hot and cold shower for the toilets.
Rooms are cleaned daily and toiletries are replenished every day.
I find the rooms pleasant and satisfactory.
Unique Quality: There are 2 pools, one for adults the other for kids. There is a jacuzzi but it does not work. We asked for it to be turned on the first day but nothing happened.
There is a sauna but you have to pay 100 baht to use it. I find this surprising as I never had to pay for the use of sauna at any hotels. Maybe this is unique to Thailand?
The management changes the breakfast menu to HALAL to cater for us. That was really great.
The staffs are generally friendly and helpful with the exception of a few who somehow have a bigger, brighter smile and service for the white men. The first time at breakfast we had to go and get our own coffee but the caucasian had theirs served.
There were also a lady receptionist who was very rude and did not bother looking up or smiling to the asians.I had the luxury of watching this behaviour for 6 days. No wonder the caucasians named the place Paradise Island.
Luckily we came across a helpful and wonderful male staff who arranged for the halal breakfast.
The hotel only have a tailor shop and an internet service that did not work the 6 days we were there.
This is a smallish hotel set a couple of hundred metres back from the seafront, and also towards the south of town. So it was quite a walk to get into the main nightlife area in the evenings. The rooms were a good size but nothing very special and mine was quite shaded by trees so not a lot of sunlight reached the terrace. However the staff here were very friendly and the service was excellent.
hi!! i'm going to phuket on march for the 1stime. i'm travelling with tight budget so please tell me the cheapest way to travel from the phuket airport to the coconut village resort. and what's the rate?? i'll be very thankful if u can give me some useful information. thank you all!!
Hi there, the best way to get to your accommodation is t just grab a taxi right out front of the airport, 500 baht won't break the bank and you will arrive nice and cool with the aircon.
Other wise take the hot and slow trip on the bus...bugger that
Shout your self your on holidays take a taxi
Or ask coconut village resort if they have a free pick up service
Enjoy your Holiday
I booked for Coconut through their own website.
I was ther in June 95.
I got a better deal that anywhere else doing this.
It included airport transfers and breaky.
