Island for 2 nights
Hi
Jay and I are travelling to Thailand in May 06. We are wanting to spend 2 nights on an island.
I am looking for a hut/villa/bungalow right on the beach. Money is not an issue. Something very isolated, yet defintley want white sand and acqua water!
Can anyone please recommend anywhere?
Something like yo would see in the movies, something romantic??
Any suggestions appreciated

Hi guys!
An easy alternative is the island; Kho Samet, just a couple of hours drive south east of Bangkok and a half hour boat trip out. There is heaps of hotels there now, but still some pristine beachbungalows secluded and drop dead romantic.

Im sorry, I should have been more specific in my posting.
We are going to be based in Phuket, so we are looking for an island with about 2 hours from here.
Any other suggestions for us?

Well I've been out to the Phi Phi's but theyre not really all that secluded, although beatuiful, AND you are able to shoot of from there by watertaxis to nearby islands and beaches. The whole place is a natl. park so there are restrictions. On the mainland down sth. of Phuket is Ao Nang a good spot, got out to Railee beach from there, also a nice little island with a resort and stunning views, but you wont be explorers!! ,-)

It sounds to me if you are wanting quality accommodation on a quiet island that is relaxing that Koh Yao could well be what you are thinking of ( www.beachsiam.com/koh_yao.html ), try the Koh Yao island resort or the Paradise. Just remember that May is the start of the rainy season in the south.
