"phuket trip day 1"
reach airport at morning 7.35am. check out and saw my car rental company(phuket car rental) waiting for me outside. got on to the car and when to collect the rented jeep(the place is about 200m away from the airport, very near). payed from 600 baht a day for four days 24oo baht.
not used to 4WD so took some time to sort out the gears and brought some drinks and snacks at the 7-11 store just opposite phuket car rental. leave at around 9 to 9 30am and headed to wat chalong to pray. reach wat chalong at around 10 to 10 30am. very beatiful. first thing i heard is the prayers of the monks being broadcast in the temple. prayed for a safe journey in phuket. haeded down to my hotel(le tong beach hotel) to check in around 10 30 to 11. reach there around 12pm and checked in. all have a bath and when down to central festival for lunch. reach there at around 1 30pm. the security is very polite to us. we ate remen besides the KFC, i would say only normal standard not very good. also tried the dounut opposite the remen resturant. very nice and cheap too, around 12 to 15 baht each. we shop till 4 plus and when to Big C to buy some food. leave Big C at around 5 and headed down to Promthep Cape for the sunset view. on the way saw a night market selling food so decided to stop and buy some snacks. leave at 5 30 pm at reached the cape at around 6pm. wow the view was stunning. after the sunset, saw a street artist painted all white and acted like a statue. very good entertainer.
