will be staying here in December for 4 nights. Read that it is quieter than Patong - so looking forward to that.
Anyone on the forum - spent a holiday here - views please.
ideas for day trips as well.
we are a family - mum,dad, 2 daughters - a teen and a 6year old.

There is usually no need for a second posting, just give it a little time and you should get enough answers to your question.
It can take a couple of days to get all of the answers you need as members pop in and out of the travel forum.

I have not stayed there but I have had dinnere there. It appears to be a pretty damn nice place to stay. Dinner was excellent by the way. Close to the airport, yet fairly secluded.

I live in Phuket 7 years, yes Nai Thon Beach is very quite area and not many activities but good for swimming and spending time on the beach front, you will come with your family and you can enjoin nice and clean beach or maybe you can buy some day trip for traveling with your family around Phuket and visit some small islands, snorkeling, canoe good activities for chidren. I just took 1 day trip 2 weeks ago for visiting 6 islands. I can give you some advice or more information email nina.th@hotmail.com

which hotel after karon beach
hi wife and I are staying in Karon sea sands nxt new year then we are moving on for our last 4 night we have narrowed it down to 3 options would appreciate some advice about all if possible the 3 choices are Best Western Premier Bangtao Beach Resort ,Naithonburi Beach Resort Thalang or Manathai Hotel & Resort, Surin Beach we are in our early 40's i will be playing some golf while wife chills out at pool but we enjoy strolling around in the evening choosing a nice restaurant to have great thai food in maybe we will do some snorkelling or scuba pls take those thoughts into consideration thanks all in advance . ps I have asked Quero for her opinion as she regulary replies on here ref phuket

If you enjoy strolling along the beach and looking at a good variety of restaurants - either Surin Beach or Bang Tao Beach is the best place to be on the island. Both are loaded with many Thai restaurants and you can go from very basic to somewhat fancy. Surin Beach even has "Beach Clubs" from the Twin Palms and ManaThai Resorts - right on the sand.

Surin Beach has just as many restaurants on the beach - but packed into much less area - but a great place for strolling from one menu to the next.

Move on get a cheap flight to bangkok. then trasfer to Hua Hin. new place best golf courses. you will find great restaraunts and beaches. not as good as west aussie. grumphy
