Patong Inn is located along the main street facing the beach and is owned by an Australian. The accomodation is clean and fairly comfortable. I would say that it is for those who want something more respectable than a backpackers lodge but don't want to pay too much for a fancy hotel. Price-wise it is reasonable but not particularly cheap. Great if you want easy access to the breach.

Patong Inn Hotel is located in the heart of Patong Beach and just across from the beach. A standard double ensuite room cost THB900. You can check the availability for the Sea View Rooms. The room is very clean and spacious.
If you wish are a beach bum, this is a great location. You can just cross the road and have a shower from the comfort of your hotel room. The massage and manicure services are just a few steps from the hotel loby.

We will be travelling to Phuket 4 adults and 2 children in March and wonder if anyone can give us some advise as to the most economical way of getting from the airport to Patong beach area. Does anyone have an idea of the approx price for such a trip. Hope someone can help with this thanks regards Marci
If you take the Airport-Phuket Bus @ 70 Bhat X 4 that is 240 Baht plus the children, The Bus will take you to Phuket Town and you will have to take another Bus to Phuket for 25 Baht each. Will take nearly 2 hours. Phuket to Patong Bus (if you can call it a bus- see the photos on my Phuket transportation tip) is very slow.
Or take TUK TUK from Phuket bus terminal to Patong, may be 200 to 300 Baht.
A Taxi dirctly from the Airport to Patong may cost around 550 Baht (40 minutes ride) if all of you can fit in,
Mini Vans from Airport to Patong 150 Baht per person (Direct) The Van may stop at some travel agencies on the way and offer you to buy some tours, drivers get commission for that, Refuse Poli
There are plenty of taxis at the airport. The price is 650 to 700 thai Bhrt for the trip to patong beach which is about 45 mins ride away, As there is six of you you will need two taxis. There is also six seaters avaulble but do not know the price of them. There is also a bus service but do not know price. Your best bet is taxi.
Hi Marci, A meter taxi from the airport to Patong Beach will cost 450 - 500 baht but you would need 2 taxis, maybe hire a private driver with a van to meet you at the airport that way you will all be together and no surprise stops along the way. They cost around 700-800baht.

start to be busy arround midnight , the fee is 200 thai bhat to get inside and you get to free drinks ( any drink) , no dress code ,
It's cheap to rent a car. Will cost you as little as £8 a day.
But it's a good idea espcially if you want to get to some of the more out of the way places, and some of the less touristy spots.
Nice; good service, good facilities, inexpensive hotel with swimming pool and events in the site.
