Great location
We have stayed at patong resort 4 times now and we love it, the staff are all friendly, rooms are neat and tidy, pool is great and it's in a great location , the only down fall is the beds are hard.

Great location & beautiful garden view!
I think it really depends on which building of Patong Resort you are staying at, it could be really different experience then. The first night we were put in the old building's delux room. First thing I saw in the room was cockroach. The room smelled moldy. It was very old decoration. I didn't like it at all. We complained about it the next day and they moved us to the same priced delux room at their new building with a gorgeous garden view. It was so much better there and the room was clean and modern. So, if you stay at Patong resort, always ask for the room at the new building.
Unique Quality: 1) Great location - there are easy accesses to the beach, bangla road, mall.
2) Good breakfast - many choices.
3) Service is wonderful. The bellboys were so nice to us and had gone out of their way to help us on a few occasions.

In the centre of Patong!
This hotels location is probably its best feature. It is a nice hotel only 100 mtres from the beach and from Bangla Rd (nightclub area).
The rooms are a little dated now and showing some wear, but it is clean comfortable and friendly.
Unique Quality: You can walk anywhere from here. Ask for a room up high so you can see the ocean too!
2 great swimming pools. Internet in the foyer and a bar downstairs.

Great Value for Money and Location
On our recent 3rd visit to Phuket we stayed at the Patong Resort, having previously stayed at more expensive resorts generally marketed to Aussie tourists. Not expecting too much from the Patong Resort, because of the great price we got, and from some other less than favourable reviews on VT, I can only say how pleasantly surprised and impressed we were with the service and facilities of this property.
We had a Deluxe room upgrade with a spacious room on the first floor overlooking the pool. The 2 pool areas (both our wing and the main wing) were very clean and well maintained. Drinks and food around the pool were well priced and the pool staff were friendly and helpful.
The buffet breakfast daily was more than adequate, although not overly extravagant.
We found the hotel staff to be extremely helpful and pleasant overall, and in fact, could not fault them or the resort in any way.
I would definitely stay at this resort again. The value for money, location, facilities and service overall were excellent.
Unique Quality: Very convenient location - only about 25 metres staggering distance from some great eateries and the bars on Bangla Road!

Ordinary hotel and staff
Luckily we got upgraded from a very basic room to the main wing. This is the new part of the hotel. Still very basic. Terrific view of the airconditioning and must have been right above the fish-cleanign room by the smell that was outside...sheesh
We just wouldnt stay in the first room we were given. Started looking for alternate accomodation.
They advised that our daughter (9years old) couldnt have a rollout cause they were out of them.
Most of their money has been spent on the foyer. Shame really cause its in such a great spot just behind Patong tower
