A hidden hotel
There are two room type hotel type & villa type. We stay in a villa which our companion bargained for THB 1600 (ca. 2007), actually that rate is for hotel type but it was low season when we were there. The villas are around the hotel swimming pool.
You cannot see the hotel from the road as you have to enter a small road full of vendors/stores, right and left.
Unique Quality: Free breakfast, internet for a fee, swimming pool

Very good stay in very central location, parking inside.
Just in front of the beach.

Bad price/quality relation
Afterwards, we had not idea, why we paid 3600 thb cash for an intermediate stay in this dump without checking the rooms upfront. The 3 preferred locations had no vacancies. Never again: even 1800 baht would be to much.
Beastly furniture, bad towels, pillows and bedding, incompetet reception. Bathroom barely tolerable. (see pics) Instead of a garden a paved area with tiny pool.No safety box.

Update: Patong Villa is now being redeveloped into The Kee Resort and Spa, which will open 4th quarter 2010

Nice clean roomy Deluxe Room on second level. Not in front of the pool, so no pool view. Windows facing Patong Beach Road, but with the buildings on the other side of the road, no beach or sea view either. Good for people watching from the comforts of your room, but otherwise, not much reason to open the curtains. No breakfats included, which was a blessing I guess, as seems like breakfast is not self service buffet but fixed sets with toasts, eggs, cereals, etc, not my type of breakfast.
Not a big pool but good enough for me. Have seen smaller ones (you should see the one in Royal Palm to believe).
Unique Quality: Great location, across the road from the beach (which I did not go to at all on this trip, hmm)

Nice cosy resort very near to Patong beach
Patong beach was just a matter of crossing the road...I booked for a standard room but was upgraded to the superior room for an unknown reason. The room was better than I expected because of the price I paid...around 1000 baht (mid season). All the rooms here have a bathtub.
Unique Quality: Good service, small pool, very near to Patong beach.
