An excellent hotel in the right location, central to everything in patong. The girls at reception are always smiling, happy and always willing to help.I booked this hotel thru sawasdee.com and the deal was,pay 7nights,stay for 14.However we paid for 14 and stayed for 28 days.Construction was happening on the 12th floor during our stay(May/June 2008).Water was switcehd off between 11am and 5pm everyday but this was of no concern as we were rarely in our room during the day. However,we were moved to the 7th floor of the royal wing as our water was turned off for 24 hours. The Royal wing is newer and nice and had a very pleasant timber aroma.Overlooking the fabulous pool area. However,we decided that the Paradise wing was better.I would recommend this hotel to anybody. The breakfasts are nothing special and have no variations during our stay but it was passable. The buffet dinner was 250 baht and a dissapointment. It was not up to our expectations, but may agree with someone elses tastes...I just wish they would ban smoking in certain areas of all hotels...We didnt like the yellow bathroom tiles but the rest of the bathroom was neat...Maid service is outstanding and (Jittra)our maid is always smiling, happy and always wanting to teach us to speak thai. She was sad when we left....and so were we... We rented a scooter off (Beer). He has a small rental business consisting of 4 scooters and one car(Honda Jazz)He is located at the front of the hotel to the left of the entrance in front of the scuba diving shop.He holds your passport as deposit and rents his scooters for 200 baht/day.Weekly is cheaper.Friendly lad..!!...A tip I overheard at reception-It costs 1000 baht to have company in your room overnight...
The paradise wing is the older part of royal paradise and is 24 stories high. This of course creates great views over Patong city, the hills and the beach.Secondly, the pool is beautifully landscaped and modern, not to mention the spa pool adjacent to the main pool, which can be quite a bit cooler as it is in the shadows. The hotel is also in the gay area of Patong. We found this to be beneficial because we met some of the local gay guys and they were very friendly as most thai people are...Just talking to and meeting happy people on holidays makes the holiday so much more enriched... I stayed at Royal Paradise over four nights during my sojourn at Phuket. A plush outfit, Royal Paradise is also conveniently located close to the nightly action on Bangla. The breakfast spread, which comes as package with the room tariff, is simply sumptuous!! Almost all rooms have a breathtaking view of the entire sweep of the beach, with the hills forming a picture-perfect backdrop. Don't also forget to check out `Two Black Sheep', a quaint, magnificent Irish-style pub, close to Paradise, that serves fresh draught beer with kidney pies to die for! A word of caution, though......Royal Paradise is surrounded by a plethora of gay joints that may call out for your inclusion!!
Go hungry in the morning to the breakfast spread here, that's just phenomenal!

Seems very nice. Maybe I'll try this hotel on my next visit. :-)
