Theft at Royal Paradise Hotel

Terrible (1.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on August 6, 2012

My brother in law stayed in this hotel for several days recently. He ordered food in his room. The waiter came and while placing the food on the table, picked up my brother in law's new Iphone 4S. He noticed the absence of the phone and complained to hotel management.

The hotel management raised a fuss over the issue and said that nothing could be done. They denied that no such event had occurred in the hotel in the past.

My brother in law checked and he found that a group of room service waiters was involved in this kind of activity.

Beware of theft possibility if you stay in this hotel

Unique Quality: Theft incident

An excellent hotel in the right location, central to everything in patong. The girls at reception are always smiling, happy and always willing to help.I booked this hotel thru sawasdee.com and the deal was,pay 7nights,stay for 14.However we paid for 14 and stayed for 28 days.Construction was happening on the 12th floor during our stay(May/June 2008).Water was switcehd off between 11am and 5pm everyday but this was of no concern as we were rarely in our room during the day. However,we were moved to the 7th floor of the royal wing as our water was turned off for 24 hours. The Royal wing is newer and nice and had a very pleasant timber aroma.Overlooking the fabulous pool area. However,we decided that the Paradise wing was better.I would recommend this hotel to anybody.
The breakfasts are nothing special and have no variations during our stay but it was passable. The buffet dinner was 250 baht and a dissapointment. It was not up to our expectations, but may agree with someone elses tastes...I just wish they would ban smoking in certain areas of all hotels...We didnt like the yellow bathroom tiles but the rest of the bathroom was neat...Maid service is outstanding and (Jittra)our maid is always smiling, happy and always wanting to teach us to speak thai. She was sad when we left....and so were we...
We rented a scooter off (Beer). He has a small rental business consisting of 4 scooters and one car(Honda Jazz)He is located at the front of the hotel to the left of the entrance in front of the scuba diving shop.He holds your passport as deposit and rents his scooters for 200 baht/day.Weekly is cheaper.Friendly lad..!!...A tip I overheard at reception-It costs 1000 baht to have company in your room overnight...

Unique Quality: The paradise wing is the older part of royal paradise and is 24 stories high. This of course creates great views over Patong city, the hills and the beach.Secondly, the pool is beautifully landscaped and modern, not to mention the spa pool adjacent to the main pool, which can be quite a bit cooler as it is in the shadows. The hotel is also in the gay area of Patong. We found this to be beneficial because we met some of the local gay guys and they were very friendly as most thai people are...Just talking to and meeting happy people on holidays makes the holiday so much more enriched...

Directions: I think the tallest building on Rhat-U-Thit Road, adjacent to Bangla Road and across the road from the row of outdoor restaurants starting from Da Number 1 which by the way is highly recommended....

A good 3 star hotel in phuket.

Good (3.0 of 5.0 stars)

We stayed in 'Royal Paradise Hotel" for 3 nights in November 2007. We had an eye bird view from the 9th floor where our room was located.
However this hotel is not a new built one, but rooms were clean and good maintained.
There is a clean and beautiful swiming pool, located between two sections of the hotel.
Hotel consists of two separate buildings. The taller one(Paradise Wing) has 24 floors and the other ( Royal Wing)has 6 floors.
There is just 5 minutes walk to the local market where you'll have access to numerous shops, restaurants, bars and massage centers and about 10 minutes to the "Patong Beach" where you can go for swimming, fly with parachutes and other water entertaiments.

Unique Quality: Sweet tempered receptionists and friendly staff, nice and clean swiming pool, good breakfast are the positive items we experienced during our settlement at this hotel.

If you are intrested in taking panoramic photoes you can go to the 24th floor, where the kitchen of chinees restaurant is located and there you can take nice shots from the city.

Tallest Hotel in Phuket

Good (3.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on October 24, 2007

I would believe this is the tallest hotel in Phuket. I stayed in this hotel 9 years ago so I will try to describe as much as I can remember.

It is slightly a longer walk to the beach but there are many shops along the way to the beach so I guessed you won't feel bored on your way.

Rooms are pretty clean and spacious.

Royal treatment at Phuket

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on October 20, 2007

I stayed at Royal Paradise over four nights during my sojourn at Phuket. A plush outfit, Royal Paradise is also conveniently located close to the nightly action on Bangla. The breakfast spread, which comes as package with the room tariff, is simply sumptuous!! Almost all rooms have a breathtaking view of the entire sweep of the beach, with the hills forming a picture-perfect backdrop. Don't also forget to check out `Two Black Sheep', a quaint, magnificent Irish-style pub, close to Paradise, that serves fresh draught beer with kidney pies to die for! A word of caution, though......Royal Paradise is surrounded by a plethora of gay joints that may call out for your inclusion!!

Unique Quality: Go hungry in the morning to the breakfast spread here, that's just phenomenal!

Hotel near Nightlife in Patong beach

High rise hotel right in the center of Patong beach area, about 5 minutes walk to the beach through a very busy area. The Royal Paradise Hotel in Patong on Phuket is a high rise hotel in a very busy part of Patong Beach. If you want to be close to the nightlife and entertainment of Patong it is fine, but do note this is a very busy area and Patong beach is the busiest beach resort area on Phuket.

Unique Quality: Excellent views of Patong, nice rooftop Chinese restaurant of the Royal Paradise Hotel.
