    Pleasant and comfortable stay

    by

This is a 4-star hotel that offers a great price for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and room amenities were adequate. They provide hair-dryer, electric thermal flask, mini-fridge, an electric iron and an iron board inside the room. For a hotel of 4-star rating, I cannot understand how it can bring itself to stinge on 2 packets of 3-IN-1 coffee. They only provide 2 Lipton tea bags and 2 small bottles of mineral water as complimentary. As for other beverages and snacks, they come with a price each. Except for dirty cupboard/drawer interiors and the worn and old bathroom facilities, everything else in general is reasonably clean. Unlike some other old hotels that still keep carpets with burnt cigarette holes in them, this hotel's carpet looks spotless. The balcony is a plus point for those who like to get some sun and enjoy the natural breeze without having to step out of the room. They do have a swimmnig pool, though a bit small, for guests to cool off from the sweltering afternoon heat. A minor thing that I dislike about the room set-up is the way they roll up the bath and face towels into french croissant-like shapes instead of folding them neatly into rectangular shape like what many other hotels do.

Unique Quality: Value for money with scenic seaview. The big overhanging chandelier in the lobby is a stunning piece of decorative furnishing that adds a classy appeal to this hotel. Good spread of breakfast buffet with both western and oriental food. Good Wifi management which updates password daily to prevent bandwidth overloading from unauthorised connections. The TV inside has a good selection of channels, including BBC, HBO, Macau Lotus, Channel news Asia, CCTV1 and some other local Thai channels.

Directions: Near to Saiburi Road, which is the main road. Good location to visit Koh Yo island. This hotel is widely known in Songkhla and asking for directions to get back to the hotel from any local stranger in the street is not a problem.
