I'm more of a cat person than a dog person but I felt sorry for this little fellow. There are stray dogs everywhere in Thailand. This little guy, who could only have been a few weeks old, was all on his own sleeping on the beach.

Visit some wats

There are several beautiful wats around the city of Songkhla. Just start walking around and you will see some beautiful gilded roofs and fierce naga statues. Since they aren't that used to tourists, we got lots of giggles and smiles from novice monks.

One day trip to Songkhla

Songkhla is another popular destination in southern thailand. Frankly, I think a day trip will be sufficient to visit this town. There are not many things to do and see. Too many Wats around till I can't recount how many I;ve visited. However, I have to say I truly enjoyed having my lunch at a fishing small village that our driver brought us to.
