Rajamangala Pavilion Beach Resort

This is a nice hotel in Songkhla. One of the better places to stay. It's a block away from the beach, the road separates the beach and hotel. There is a nice pool. The rooms are quite nice. Very modern with a nice sitting area. Most rooms have balconies.

The staff is very helpful. Our friend thought he lost his passport and the hotel arranged for us to go to police. They paid for the transport. Luckily, our friend found his passport.

In the evening, they have a nice dinner. Either bbq or Thai dishes. Their Thai dishes were quite good. Very nice seafood. If you go, get the river lobster-crayfish kind of things.

Rajamangala Pavillion Beach Resort lies directly across the street from the best stretch of Samila Beach, facing the Gulf of Thailand. Several blocks from the city center, it is quiet and peaceful. The rooms are quite spacious and comfortable, with all the standard amenities you would find in a big chain hotel. The staff are helpful but speak limited English. The pool is nice, as is the restaurant/bar. Very good value for money, as we paid about 36USD/night.

Unique Quality: This is great place to stay if you are looking for a relaxing and/or romantic beach vacation that is off the tourist beaten path. Also, only a few blocks walk or tuk-tuk ride brings you to the center of Songkhla city, which is both charming and relaxed. There are also numerous pleaseant beach bars and cheap seafood restaurants within a short stroll up picturesque Samila beach.
