More about Buri Rasa Village

Relaxing stay at the Buri Rasa Village

by TripAdvisor Member Ronanj

The Buri Rasa Village really got my vote after my stay in the Bann Haad Ngam, Chaweng Noi. The service was excellent and the room was well appointed and very spacious with a nice teak vaulted ceiling. I was staying in the least expensive room as a single traveller - great value.

My only regret was waiting until the last night to try the Italian menu at the Buri Rasa beach restaurant. The seafood Italian dish I had was superb.

The Buri Rasa pool reminded me of Lenin's Mausoleum filled with water?? But it works - its a lap pool with Jacuzzi chairs up one side of it and a waterfall at the wall end - very well thought out and enjoyable to swim in. I loved the business class (width) sun lounger chairs to relax on and watch the world go by. The beach front lawn did look like the Wimbledon ladies tennis final had just been played on it - though the grounds were on a whole beautifully kept. Funny thing is the pool side loos even have their own gardens. lol.

The discreet security on the beach front was excellent - I felt very safe.

Breakfast was top notch and the honey tower was such a treat.

Sadly the Hotel didn't have cocktail parties for guests or a happy hour.

The village atmosphere is a wonderful place to come and shut the rest of the world out. The hotel styling is British Colonial 60’s, meets Ralph Lauren - tres chic. I loved the free internet access in the ice box cooled study/dining area at the front of the hotel - a pity they don't keep it chilled 24 hours a day.

I was finally able to unwind at this lovely hotel - a gentle hotel with a soft personality.

I will be back.

Wonderful Buri Rasa!

by TripAdvisor Member Serendipityld

We had a wonderful stay at Buri Rasa, I has spent sometime searching for the perfect hotel within budget and happened upon the Buri Rasa website. From making the booking, all the way through our stay to check out the hotel was pefect. Friendly helpful staff, lovely rooms and facilities. It is an oasis in the hecticness of Chaweng (or Chav-weng as friends nicknamed it!).
I would highly recommen this hotel!

Peaceful Paradise

A welcome change of pace is in store for all when staying at Buri Rasa!

My latest getaway was the unique and chic Buri Rasa in the heart of Chaweng. From the moment I arrived till the time I departed, the visit was 'just what the doctor ordered - peace and relaxation from an otherwise hectic life.'

The rooms are calm and zen-like and the beach great! Breakfast is a real treat and what I am use to in much higher price hotels.

All in all, cannot complain and the rainy season rates are great, not to mention it didn't rain!

CK this one out!

Unbelievable

by TripAdvisor Member BritInTokyo

I wandered into this little resort by accident after being disappointed with my first choice, a local 5 - star resort. While this hotel is certainly not 5-star, it has more to offer in personality, charm and character. Staff are friendly and care about you. When we had an issue, they solved it, offered advice and truly understood what we needed. We even met foreign management - from America I think - who took time to ask about our stay while he was in Samui inspecting the resort and then followed up with a letter to us after we arrived back in Tokyo. Following this experience, we will never stay in a small hotel again. You cannot go wrong with Buri Rasa for a romantic, relaxing and comfortable stay.

A lovely village

by TripAdvisor Member hinhinbb

A lovely village, with good location in the chaweng beach. And the beach outside the village is the best of the chaweng beach with clear water and fine sand. The staffs are very nice. Actually, everything about the village is excellent, except the choice of the buffet breakfast.

Not a great area, good hotel!

by TripAdvisor Member JezandStacy

As the two of us are vegetarians and were looking for some good vegetarian Thai food, we were very disappointed. The restaurants in the hotel are either meaty or Italian, and the area around is pretty much the same.
One good thing that few people have mentioned (as the rest is covered in other reviews), when we were there it rained one day and were glad to see that each room had a DVD player and the reception loaned out a good collection of DVDs.
Also, they had free Wifi access and a few computers that were free to use, making it very business accesible.

Samui Beach Bungalows

by ppecorar

Hi . . . I currently have reservations at the Amari Reef in Chewang Beach on Samui for May. Just received an e-mail that they will be doing rennovations during that time. Could someone offer another suggestion.

Looking for a nicer (e.g. air conditioning, room service available, nice pool, on the beach) hotel in the Chewang Beach area for a week. Any thoughts.

Ideally the resort would have Thai style bungalows.

Thanks - Paul

Have a look at Buri Rasa www.burirasa.com it`s a relatively new resort on Chaweng Beach(towards southern end)off sawadee it`s price is similar to Amari so well worth a look.I haven`t stayed there but have taken a look through the grounds as as with any new resort in that price range it certainly looks impressive.

Hope this helps

I stayed at the Banana Fan Resort about three years ago after first considering the Amari. I thought the Banana Fan was very good value for money and I had a room right on the beach, yuo should check it out.

Regards

John
