Good hotel for overnight stop in Surat Thani

Pleasant enough for an overnight stop if going to or from Koh Samui. This happens if you are using the ferry and arriving on a flight late into Surat Thani or if perhaps you are using the train from Bangkok to Surat Thani or the other direction and need a reasonable air conditioned hotel for the night. rates are quite reasonable.

Unique Quality: Large hotel in Surat Thani, the Wantai Hotel is one of the best you can get if you need a hotel in Surat Thani for an overnight stop if taking the ferry to Koh Samui. There is a large swimming pool. THB 950 for a twin room or 1,100 for a deluxe, pay the small amount extra for the deluxe. Breakfast included in the deal. If you fly in to Surat Thani Airport with Thai Airways they say they will pick you up free, otherwise just THB 50 per person which is reasonable. There is a restaurant and room service. Thai, Cinese and basic European dishes in the restaurant. Pleasant enough hotel, don't get your expections too high but it is fine for an air conditioned large hotel in Surat Thani.
