TRANG TO LANGKAWI

Does anybody know if there is a regular boat service linking Trang to Langkawi?
Also if anybody has stayed at the Amari Trang let me know what you thought of it and the surrounding area.

Hey there. From Trang to Langkawi is fairly easy - you need to take a bus or taxi to Satun, from there they have a direct ferry service. I had a friend who stayed at the Amari Trang and rated it...try firstasiahotels.com have a good one!

"this is a great place"

I,m a frequent visitor from deserted islands in south Thailand,and this is one off my favourites.Kho muuk beach in Trang province.Trang have many nice islands and the people are living as the used to do many years ago.The live in a small community and live from rubber and fishing.This place is perfect for couples who seek peace and tranquality.You can rent a kayak on the island and paddle to the emerald cave,Iff you come to the entrance,you have to swim with a life jacket 80 meters in a tunnel with a flashlight,and then you reach a small beach surrounded by cliffs.

This is Charly bungalows on haad farang.For the more luxury travellers,the have airc.rooms with shower inside,satt.tv etc.

As there are no cars on the island,mountainbiking or walking are the only transportation.

Ko Laoliang Pee

One day we all took the speedboat to go snorkelling by a nearby island. The snorkelling was rather good. The coral was about the same as at the island we were staying on but there were more fish. After that we visited the island next to where we were staying called Ko Laoliang Pee. There was a Muslim fishing village on this island.
