Rovshan Hotel Tashkent: Rovshan Hotel Tashkent

by johnsakura

This hotel is located near Shota Rostaveli which is a main street here in the city. This is a nice oportunity to have a place in european standards for also the normal european price. clean, small yard with flowers on the back part ofhotel. restaurant.

The price for a single room is $30us.
As I have no pic of the hotel i took a pic from their website without authorization, i think that if it is for advertising porpuse they dont mind.

Najiba Guest House Samarkand: Najiba Guest House Samarkand

by johnsakura

This is a very family type bed and breakfast that exist all around Uzbekistan. For an affordable priec ou can stay in a clean place good consitions and stay with a local family that will take care of you as their own.

Nice price, from $15us, maybe you can get it for less than that, its a matter of deeling the price.
The rooms are small rooms all with private bathroom and fan for cooling system.
If you need food ask in advance and suggest you'll pay for it after as if they think you want to eat for free, they will say they have no more food.

House N° 52: Khiva Homestay

by chrisvandenbroucke

Go to the Islam Huja Mosque and ask for a place to sleep. An old woman will take you to a house (number 52) where you find lovely rooms. We had a big spacious room (spotless) with everything you need: clean sheets, big beds...
Extra room for us: dining room with attached bathroom (some minor problems with the hot water). For the food: see other tips
Very good value at 7.50 US$ per person per night (after negotiation)

Lyaby-House: Bukhara

Quiet area. Very Pleasant staff. Lovely Breakfast and dining area. Clean – somewhat basic rooms.

Great location right next to the pool – courtyard area (labi-hauz) of the old city. Walking distance to all the old monuments and bazaar.

Mubinjon's: The place to stay in Bukhara

by bartman_9

Run by the excentric but friendly Mubinjon, a former USSR Olympic athlete, this is a traditional Uzbek house converted into a guesthouse, oozing with charm.
Price is about 10US$ for a single and for a few dollars more Mubinjon will make you a copious breakfast in the morning.

Traditional Uzbek mansion.

Ali-Tour: Where you should stay in Tashkent...

by Bonobo2005

Not far from-but not within- the citycentre, Alisher has a place where almost everything is possible.

He has about 7 rooms available, cheapest around $10 (but for this you possibly have to share a bed with the massage lady) - $25/night. It's in a very safe area. You can use small swimming pool and sauna.

It's a small place, with a very informal atmosphere, that doesn't cater only for Lebanese or Arabian businessmen. Moreover this place is slowly getting a cult status amongst travellers although it's not mentioned in the guidebooks. Also I'm sure Alisher will do his utmost possible to help you with everything-like he did for me-.

At Ali-Tour "Foreign Economic Firm" your stay will unlikely be a casual experience! Be warned!
Note: probably not suitable for female single travellers.

by Dinar

THe best option is to stay at private small hotels.
Relatively inexpenisive. Around 15 - 20 USD a night with breakfast included.

Big option in TAshkent and Bukhara.

The best in Tashkent are Ravshan B&B, Orzu.

In Bukhara - Salom hotel, Emir hotel
20 - 25 USD a night

Guest Houses, with good food...

by catdockev

Guest Houses, with good food and a way to meet people. Be sure there is running water! And electricity. These places are somehow networked, but as is all else here be prepared to go with the flow. They all serve great breakfasts, but also whatever is served you have to eat as it is a big deal! The Bazaars are such fun, silk from the silk road and all sorts of fabrics. Bring an extra suitcase just for the silk, cotton and hemp you will buy!

Arkanchi B&B in Khiva: Arkanchi B&B in Khiva

by lotharlerch

25 $ for one person full board (3 good and filling meals per day)

Maybe the best option for a visit of Khiva, I paid 25 $ for full board which is a good bet because it is virtually impossible to find anything to eat within the walls of Khiva. The food in Arkanchi's is OK.
