Where to book your tours?
by iblatt
We booked our tours with Sagotour, 171 Pham Ngu Lao St.
Tel: (84.8)-9203479
Website: www.sagotour.com
We were satisfied with the office manager's professional advice; he was polite, his English was good and his accent easy to understand. While we were waiting at his office for the tour buses we had free internet access.

You must find the hotel fist. Don't let people introduce to you. Don't afraid of the many change if you got U.S.Dollars.
1USD=VND1,406,000. You can change evreywhere.
I lived in 'OSCAR' hotel, USD35 per night, very safe, and clean, service not good enough, but in the centre of the city. The goods are very cheap, and the girl is beautiful, average incom USD50 are their normal life per month, but the telephone is very expensive, to HK 5 dollars per min

Sublock and appropriate dressing please
by yukisanto
Sunblock is the single most important item in your list. It's ultra hot there, baking hot. The locals wear long gloves and hats when they are out on the road, but since I didn't really want to buy a hat just for the 3 days I was there, I depended solely on my sunblock to protect me from the blazing sun.
And don't think of wearing as less as possible. You'll notice people don't wear tank tops or spagetti straps, and unless you want to attract attention, you'll be better off wearing loose fitting cotton t-shirts and tops with sleeves.
Buying good fortune in Chinese temples
by bpacker
Followers of Buddhism anywhere in the world are bound by duty to save any animal in captivity . So it's no surprise to find out that the Chinese Vietnamese have adopted this practice of buying, then freeing fish, birds and turtles in the belief it can bring good fortune.
You can buy yourself some fortune in the Pagoda of the Jade Emperor. Rows of caged birds and turtles wait by the side of temple, waiting to be freed...
