Au Lac
I have stayed here many, many times. Its open all night and they let me check out the night before I leave viet nam because often must leave at 04:30. I know the staff, but I think they would do it for anyone as long as you don't use the minibar after you paid
Unique Quality: Not too far from tourist areas. You can get a room up higher to get away from traffic noise. Rooms are clean, have wifi, elevator
They also have 3 computers for guest use on the level above reception
Note: do not ask for the cheap room I think its 201.. its in the front lowest room level and faces NTMK
I think its the only cheap one they have and sometimes the plumbing doesn't work well.
Other rooms are clean, modern and comfortable.
Sometimes in the morning it takes a while for the hot water to arrive at the shower. Just let it flow until hot.
dont' expect staff to be able to format tourism for you. There is a travel office around the corner

Can anyone tell me about the Au Lac Hotel in Saigon? Clean? Close to anything? Quiet?
Also, Should we spend New Year's in Nha Trang, Dalat, or Hanoi?

Hey, cant help you with the hotel in Siagon, but i have been advised to spend NYE in Nha Trang. It is on the beach with lots of bars, generally a party place. My friends and I are going to be in Vietnam and in Nha Trang for NYE. Hopefully it will be a great NYE!!.
