HCMC was hot and humid -- we were very active during our days there. It was nice to play hookey one afternoon and just hang out at the pool.
Unique Quality: Aside from being a very nice pool indeed, there was a swim-up bar! I hadn't seen one of those since the Carribean:)
The Equatorial Hotel is a very comfortable modern business-oriented hotel. It is located on the north side of Cholon and a bit of a distance from the sleek hotels of downtown. The surroundings are old Saigon rather than new -- although traffic actually stopped [more or less] for the traffic lights on the intersection!
Unique Quality: The rooms are very comfortable, the pool is gorgeous. Cafe California serves excellent food.
The Area around the hotel is very near to the "China Town", Cholon. There's not much a tourist would like to see, but if you want to experience the Real Life in HCMC, then this is a good place to be located.
Unique Quality: Excellent Breakfast.
Continental, several Asian - Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese...Daily changing selections.
Spacious Rooms.
Directions: In District 5, in the heart of "China Town".
Distance to downtown is ok. Free Shuttle Service works perfectly.
Very good Hotel stayed 6 nights last month, nice pool to relax after a hectic day in Saigon, nice rooms friendly staff, just 15 mins away from downtown by cab.
Directions: Chinatown area
Hotel Equatorial is located between the waterfront and Cholon (Chinatown);a 10-minute's drive from the hotel are the city's major commercial, financial centres, shopping strips, recreational parks and night spots. It pays off, to accept the rather short distance to the broiling center of Saigon in lieu of a more quiet position (if there is such a thing like quiet in Ho Chi Minh)
This rather big hotel offers large, convenient and modern rooms, several restaurants and coffeshops and all the amenities one could expect in an asian first-class hotel like a business center, comprehensiv Health Club and a wonderful pool and spa.
(see picture 4 )
Unique Quality: Large, modern rooms, most convenient amenities and, above all, the best food I had in HCM. The dinner- and breakfast buffets are delicious and offer anything from Vietnamese, Japanese, Chinese and International kitchen
It is ideally located in the central, within walking distance to Chalo (chinatown).
The hotel is owned by a Malaysian (if im not mistaken) therefore finding Halal Malaysian food for breakfast is very nice. You have Nasi lemak too,in vietnam!
A very good hotel with great facilities.
Directions: District 5
