Comfortable and good
by flyfreak about Lavender Hotel Ho Chi Minh City
The Lavender Hotel is a 3 star hotel located just across the Phan Thien Markets. The service is friendly, the rooms are clean and nice. I enjoyed my stay there and the location is really good aswell. The breakfast room is on the top of the building with a nice view. There is a massage floor where you can have a phantastic foot massage for 200.000 dong that takes approximately 1,5 hours! It was heaven. After massaging my travel-tired feet they gave me sort of a Thai massage on my legs, arms, shoulders and neck. Real angels :-)
Tour operator recommendation

I can warmly recommend the touroperator ANNTOURS if you want to give yourself a good treat. You will be in best hands. It is for sure a bit more expensive than the average travel offers, but very individual and professional. Anntours is one of the oldest, if not THE oldest travel agency in Vietnam. To find out more about the special personal history of the family read their homepage www.anntours.com For my arrival I had booked the airport pickup and transfer to the Lavender Hotel through Anntours, also the 2-day Mekongdelta tour. I wanted to make sure that I would have a smooth arrival and good start of my travels. These expectations were met and exceeded. My driver and the guide were highly professional, knowledgeable and friendly. My Mekong Tour was a highlight thanks to them. Also, travelling as a single woman, I felt safe and respected. I had booked the following tour:
(SGVL2) 2 day/1 night tour to Vinh Long, Mekong Delta with homestay
Day 1. If you truly enjoy the outdoors and want the unique experience of living with the local people of the Mekong, this trip cannot be missed.Saigon - My Tho. Visit Vinh Trang pagoda and a hamlet making rice noodle - Cai Be, Vinh Long. Take boat trip to An Binh island and visit Mr. Sau's Bon Sai garden, a labor of love and village with tropical fruit orchard. Evening enjoy delicious country-style meal. Later listening traditional southern music. Overnight at LOCAL HOUSE
Day 2. Wake up to the sunrise of the Mekong with fresh tropical fruits for breakfast. Continue by sampan weaving through the many channels of the Mekong. Arrive by motorboat to the floating market as this will signal the end of a memorable experience with the people of the Mekong. Drive back to Saigon by car.

I would not hesitate in recommending the Bich Duyen Hotel. Don't know the Elios or Lavender Hotels, but notice both gets good reviews on Trip Advisor, which is a tough task master! As a matter of interest, Trip Advisor ranks Bich Duyen number 1 out of 200 Saigon hotels, with Elios 16th and Lavender 20th.
All three are well situated for sightseeing. Having said that, the Lavender in Le Thanh Ton Street seems to be the closest to Ben Thahn Market and other sites like Hotel de Ville, Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral etc. This may be the one to go for.
Good luck and enjoy!
