Qi Spa at Omni Saigon Hotel

by yeeman999 about Omni Saigon Hotel

Qi Spa is run by Shiseido group. Looks like it is the most established, if not only, spa operator in HCMC. The staff at Qi Spa in Omni Saigon is very friendly, although not all of them speak English. They said they provide Shiseido products at the locker room, they didn't lie but the choice of product is extremely limited and you wonder if you want to share, e.g. the lipstick with the others. Sense of privacy is a question mark here when you can literally see the girl showers next to you. I think they need to make subscription to some magazine titles if they want to carry the international name of Shiseido in a Marco Polo-run hotel for that they are still offering a 2005 September issue of Cosmopolitan when I did pedicure there. Basic manicure/pedicure is very cheap, I paid only USD 12 to get both M/P, but do not expect it is "professionally" done My therapist for Body Scrub treatment is very professional. I think her name is Thao. 45minutes treatment for USD 28.

Omni Saigon HCMC - A good choice

by yeeman999 about Omni Saigon Hotel

The general experience with Omni Saigon is pleasant. The majority of the staff is very friendly with just a small number of them who always looks puzzled and wasn't very keen to put on a smile. I stayed at the "Continental Club" which is their executive floor, but it isn't very special. The bed and pillow can be rated as "horrible" but I can live with it. Everything else is nice. Breakfast and evening happy hours are complimentary at the Continental Club. My buddy and I were surprised that even these freebies tasted pretty good. Servers are helpful and friendly. They did a reliable job in arranging my transportation and local tour.

When they say "high speed internet" available -- they didn't lie.

Decent but not 5 star

by sagamigal about Omni Saigon Hotel

This hotel is about 10-15minutes from the airport by taxi. It shouldn't cost you more than 30,000 dong. I made the mistake of hiring a cab at the airport info counter. Just be sure to look for a metred taxi.
The hotel looks very grand from the outside and the lobby is simple. The website says that it's a 5-star hotel but there was mold in my bathroom walls around the bathtub. I didn't complain to the manager because the majority of the room was clean and the inside of the tub was clean.
Once you check in an attendant will bring you a small complimentary piece of chocolate. The fruit basket in the room is over-priced and the apple was moldy!
I enjoyed the Qi spa on the third floor with it's calming ambience and decor. The prices were reasonable compared to those in Canada and Japan. I had the spa manicure for under $10USD and the 75 minute body massage for about $35.
The outdoor swimming pool was heated and 1.5 m deep all around and it wasn't ever too crowded. The gym faced the pool and you could relax in the unisex steam room and dry sauna. There were also lockers available with keys to keep your belongings.
I'm not a very picky person when it comes to hotels. I didn't spend much on the rooms and I liked the fact that there was a free shuttle to downtown. The bed was comfy and firm and the sheets were crisp. The breakfast buffet was amazing with a variety of breakfast foods for different folks. There was an even mixture of business and leisure travellers.
I had no problems with the service and checking in and out went without any hitches.
I would definitely stay there again. If you're a business traveller, it's very close to the airport.

I stayed in Omni Saigon Hotel and knew that they have motorbike for rental. Cost is not too expensive, you can contact the hotel directly for further information. You may see the hotel contact info from my page on HCMC.
