Has anyone stayed at the ATS Hotel in Hanoi
Hi,
ATS near the History Museum and Opera House - a very quiet place ( surrounded by military base ).
If you want to stay in ATS, I recommend you the hotel on the same street ( which is better ) - Army hotel or the M.O.D palace. good deal, nice room.

TET is also a time of tying up loose ends. If one is quarreling with a friend or family member, this should be resolved before the lunar year begins. Extended families come from far to be reunited with the rest of their clan and even deceased ancestors are offered gifts of play money to appease their spirits. It is a most colorful time to visit temples as locals ready themselves for the New Year.
When you go to SaPa make sure to make the Sunday Cultural Market. This is where many of the diffeent hilltribe groups meen and sell and trade their products. It is absolutely amazing to see and wander around!!
This private owner plaza is famous for DIAMOND :) You can buy quality dimond jewellery in Doji group here. The dimond shop is belongs to the owner of the Plaza. There is a very nice Salon Aquamarine at the 8th floor and it opens from 8am to 9pm everyday.
You also can visit several good restaurants here.
Don't be surprised when you are flying out of Hanoi and you have to pay US$14 departure fee! We had no clue and no one bothered to mention to us until we were through security and going through customs... We almost missed our flight, backtracking to pay this tax. Not to mention they wouldn't let us carry our bags back out through security, so we let them sit in the middle of the airport with thousands of people milling about. Not a pleasant experience.
u can get cheap food everywhere in Hanoi.tho u may not know how to order,just point to what u see the next guy eating and they will bring the same to u.
their pho(glass noodles) is outta this world!!!
