    Giant Sized Rooms

    by

This 2* hotel has great rooms which are really big. Our twin contained two double beds, ensuite bathroom with shower, sitting area and a small fridge. No pool but great service in the restaurant.

Unique Quality: Lovely large rooms with air-conditioning.

    Hanoi's Hidden Haven

    by

Golden Key is like a 'shy' boutique hotel as it is quite hidden from the sidewalk of Quan Su, but it is really a great value for your money.

ROOM - My husband and I enjoyed our stay in their suite. Without the steep price and grandeur of usual hotel suites, it has the comfort of a king-sized bed and a small seating area. The surprise of a big bath tub would have been great for honeymooners like us then, but the tank capacity of the water heater in our bathroom was not enough to fill the tub. And in January, hot water is vital in taking a bath in Hanoi.

FOOD - We ordered some Vietnamese specialties from their menu through room service a couple of times and they were good. However, it would have been much better if the complimentary breakfast spread had more variety. They offered the same dishes every morning. On the other hand, this did not really give that much of a problem for us, because the streets of Hanoi are lined with restaurants offering delicious coffee and Vietnamese and French cuisine.

LOCATION - Golden Key's location lets you enjoy easy access (particularly with the bikes and taxis for hire flooding the streets) to the different sight, eating and shopping attractions of Hanoi, as well as relaxation in your room afterwards without the noise of the streets.

This is a hotel I would, indeed, recommend especially to budget-conscious travellers.
