Beware this hotel!
Not to be confused with the Real Hanoi Lucky in the Main street - No.47 Ngo Huyen Street.
Hanoi Lucky "Paradise" is a nightmare of a hotel for the following reasons:
1) The airport pickup made us wait 1 hour while he picked up someone else!
2) They constantly hassled us everyday for tours. Next door was their tour company.
3) The room we had had no windows and was damp! Complained and they said they have nothing else. This room was $26 which was a lot more than others in the area. In the end we left and found a much better hotel.
4) The hotel bill was actually for a different hotel name. I didn't see the name Lucky written anywhere in the hotel. When I quizzed them on this, they pointed next door to where the tour operator was which did have Lucky on it. I beleive they stole the Lucky name from the other Lucky hotel in Hanoi to confuse people (a common practice with names).
4) The photos are not as they appear on hostelworld.
5) When I complained they canceled my hostelworld booking so I couldn't review them!

Which hotel is good? and please recommend nice restaurants
I'm hesitate about Prince Hanoi2 hotel which is on 41 Bat Su street or Hanoi Paradise hotel which is on 53 Hang Chieu street . Prince Hanoi 2 is near Hoan Kiem Lake, but Paradise is near Dong Xuan market.
For Hanoi Elegance 2 is must be in noisy area right? Because they use sound proof windows.
I would like to know good place for dinning--french, vietnam, japanese, korea.

We stayed at Hanoi Elegance 2, Ma May street, and did not find this noisy at all. In fact we voted this out best hotel we stayed at during our 3 week visit because of its location and the friendly helpful staff. We really liked Ma May street as it was a one way street and so seemed not as busy as some of the surrounding streets.
For food the following are great restaurants located in the Old Quarter
Little Hanoi, 21 Hang Gai Street for Vietnamese, this one is so popular they opened another accross the road.
Green Tangerine, 48 Hang Be, is a great French restaurant located in an restored colonial building which we really enjoyed. Its a bit more expensive than many restaurants in Hanoi but worth it.

We have just come back from Cambodia and Vietnam. The Sofitel Plaza is where we stayed in Hanoi. Its near the West Lake. Its quiet and a lovely hotel. Its a taxi ride to the Old Quarter which is amazing.
