MAYBE good for japanese

It is a 5 star hotel. We never got the newspaper at our door. We had issues with the dinning room where breakfast was offered, no windows, cold. I am assuming that the price we paid was not high enough to access the nicer dinning room.

We also complaint about the noise on the street, we were on a 12 th street and we could still hear the bikes hunking since 7 am.

The concierge is a travel agent, she tries to be kind and also to sell the trips they offer, to expensive. We did not get help enough in regards to the address written in vietnamese or finding restaurants....

The lake is 2 km away, nice walk but if you do not mind paying a bit more, stay at the Metropole. SOfitel Plaza is a bit too far.

Unique Quality: The soap was nice. Liked the smell.

Very comfortable Hanoi hotel

I recently spent a few nights at the Nikko and it really did live up to our expectations.

From our arrival to our departure we were happy with all the services provided.

The room was large and very comfortable, naturally, it was also spotless.

The buffet breakfast was excellent and suited to all tastes.
(only worry was the charming young girl who was in charge of the toaster, and who had been provided with metal tongs to help remove any stuck toast........... a real worry and not worthy of a 5* hotel)!

Delighted to find a hotel where they DO understand what a Do Not Disturb sign means, well done!

Lovely comfy, relaxing ground floor bar, great place to people watch and to enjoy some soothing live music during the evenings.
Adjacent bakery/cake shop is a real treat/ a terrible temptation.

Three small but charming in hotel shops for most needs including postage stamps.

Would stay here again when next in Hanoi.

Overall, a lovely experience, well worth a visit !

Unique Quality: Nice pool, but not being used by guests during my time there.

Massage facilities on offer beside the gym, US20 for 45mins.......... seemed reasonable!

Good location and taxi drivers DID seem to know where to go!

Charming staff on duty, on reception and in the dining areas and shops.

More about Hotel Nikko Hanoi

Expensive, but worth it!

by ESQinDC about Hotel Nikko, Hanoi

Ok, so you in Hanoi and have an incredible array of hotels to choose from, most of them with great service and low, low prices. So, why stay at the Nikko?

First, the service is insanely good. From the time I checked in, until the time I left the staff was gracious and would address me by name. The hotel bar has the best staff who offered great suggestions for day trips and places to shop off the beaten path in Hanoi.

Staying at the Nikko in the U.S. is usually costs $300 or more per night. So, treat yourself for once and take advantage of the great rates you'll get at the Nikko Hanoi.
