Recommended Budget 2-Stars Hotel

A new hotel on the ever more fashionable Ma May strip and a few minutes walk to most famous landscapes and historic spots in Hanoi such as Hoan Kiem Lake (5 minutes), Dong Xuan market, the Temple of Literature, the One Pillar Pagoda, Vietnam Historical Museum, the Museum of Vietnamese Art, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and some other tourist attractions. It is situated very near to banking and shopping streets, diplomatic and public offices and is extremely convenient for activities for both travelers and businessmen.

Viet Anh Hotel offers tastefully decorated and high standard rooms. They are comfortable and managed by warm and friendly staff. Rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, bathrooms with showers and bathtubs, TVs with satellite and cable channels. Free Wi-Fi internet access at the lobby area.

Unique Quality: Rooms include wood trim, TV, fridge and bathtub. In addition, there's a lift and you do not need to carry your heavy luggage up the stairs like some other budget hotels.

Viet Anh Hotel

Viet Anh Hotel is located at Ma May Street inside the Old Quarter. The room is quite clean and good for backpackers.

Computers and ADSL internet access is free from the hotel lobby, so you don't need to bring your laptop and look for internet access.

However please don't hope too much with the quality of service.

The price is quite reasonable, around 24USD for standard double room

Lonely Planet's Fav Viet Anh Hotel

We didn't actually stay here, but my dissatisfaction with Phan Thai led us to check out the other hotels in the vicinity. Read about Viet Anh in the lonely planet and decided to check it out. The friendly staff agreed to let us have a look at their deluxe room and we found it much better than the ones at Phan Thai. While the room was smaller, the wooden decor made the room look a little more luxurious. It helped too that this hotel is relatively new, so the room looked in good condition. With rooms going at US$18 per night, we will definitely consider staying here next time around. Note however that you should book ahead to avoid disappointment, the hotel was packed in the time that we were there.

Great cheap Hanoi Hotel

Rates as a 2 star Hotel, but is probably closer to a 3 star.Very good clean air-con rooms (try to get one ending with "1", those are the ones that have 2 windows instead of one). and a very friendly staff. Very conviniently located in the midst of Hanoi old quarter.

Our room was just 11 bucks per night a double, so dont pay more than that.

Skip the free 10 minute Internet connection as it is a waste of time, just too slow and probably aimed at charging you for any additional minutes above the free 10. Go to an Internet Cafe instead.

Unique Quality: Firendly staff.

Viet Anh hotel in Ma May st.
About tours : No comment! Sometimes they are so cheap, sometimes they are so expensive.
Rooms : quite ok, and reasonable price. Anyway, the standard rooms are small.

Hi,
tours in the hotel ( most of the hotels in the old quater ) , the same like any travel agency in the Old quater.
Me, rather pay more to get a better service, than ruin my happy feeling of Halong Bay or Sapa.
Good luck,
Hien

The clean rooms, the welcomming smile and greeting at the front door, the good breakfast- hot tea and food, the attentive and friendly accommodation of our needs and the '' escort'' to the train station by the staff at reception, have all helped to make our stay in Hanoi, Halong Bay, Sapa special with many happy memories.
