Beer
by Gili_S
I was happy to find out (before I even travel) that in Vietnam beer is common and popular. Also I found out that they import Czech technology back in the 70's so that is also promising :)
So while on the roads, restaurants and hotels you could always have some nice cold beer. But when I was here in Phan Thiet, I got beyond all my expectations, we found out that less then a km from our hotel there is this brewery that are making one of the best beers in the world. That is Hoa Vien Beer. So what can be better then just strolling down the beach barefoot and get into this brewery and enjoying cold excellent beer :)
Photos included of the white & dark beers + the bottled beers you can take home with you as much as you can carry ;-)
Yellow Sanddunes
by kenningst
One of the highlights of Mui Ne, upon arrival you will be swarmed by kids and touts asking you to rent their body boards to slide down the sand dunes. I remember them asking for a couple of US dollars, not much but if you really want to try, its a small price to pay. A nice place for pictures as well...
The white dunes Oasis/Lake
by Gili_S
When you arrive to the white dunes, you have the option to walk there, I notice some uses local guide but that is not really necessary, just walk pass the woods and proceed further into the great white open.... after you climb the dune you can continue into this oasis/pond and small lake around. Reserve the 2 hour if you plan this whole trip, have water with you and you can even have romantic picnic if you wish :)
La playa de Mui Ne- Mui Ne beach
by elpariente
The true is that we didn´t see Phan Thiet because we stayed only in Mui Ne beach and you don´t know how much it liked to us, with its peacefull beaches, their fishermen, the dunes with their sand sledges and in general an ideal place to spend some quite days , to fill the "batteries" and to continue the Vietnam travel
