FEED THE OSTRICHES & DEER ON THI ISLAND
by balhannah
Thi Island I visited on my MONKEY ISLAND DAY TOUR
The stop here, was to feed the Ostrich and Deer. The Ostrich feeding was quite fun, their long necks, out stretched trying to get the food which was supplied for FREE!
It was funny watching the reactions of some of the people as well.
A short walk, and you could feed the Deer, and also hop on the back of a Buffalo for an excellent photo!
Children love photos
by ExoticGal
Well children always love photos. We caught a little girl playing onshore & told her to call your friends. Others who were swimming in the sea went screaming for each other's name to "chup hinh" (take snapshots)...
To get this photo, I told the girls to stand on a big basket boat & the boys to push it away...
A great memory.
Fish Market
by GottaTry
We got up at 4 A.M. one morning and took a trip to the local fish market. The men go out at night to fish and bring in their catch early. For the most part it seems to be women on the dock sorting, moving and cutting up the fish. I don't think many tourists make this trip, people seemed a bit surprised to see us there. Stay out of the way or you will get a nudged by someone with a basket of fish and need a trip to the shower!
If you come later in the morning you will miss all the activity.
eating out at the hot springs
by call_me_rhia about Thap Ba Hot Springs restaurant
This restaurant, specializing in vietnamese food, is located inside the Thap Ba Hot Springs. It's a simple restaurant with an extensive menu and great food at affordable prices. The setting, by the little lake, is superb. We had grilled frogs with lemongrass, which were really excellent. The steamed octopus proved to be good, too. Our friend Phuong had chicken rice and said it was quite good, too.
Cham Tower - Po Nagar
by jmmorgan
One of the most visited sites in Nha Trang is the Cham Tower. Built between the 7th and 12th centuries the towers are very well preserved. A great way to while away a morning or afternoon instead of sunbathing.
