Good price for a good room, breakfast, and views
I stayed at this hotel in April, 2008. I paid $20USD total, inc/breakfast. Room was large, very clean, nicely appointed with newer furnishings, ?TV w/satellite, AC, fan, fridge, very , recently remodeled bath with ammenities. Breakfast was simple but good, choice of one entree and beverage. Free internet on second floor foyer. Hotel has an elevator. Friendly staff, free pick-up from train depot. Allowed me very early check-in (7AM) and even gave me free breakfast that morning. Very quiet room on 5th floor, backside.
Unique Quality: Great views of ocean or mountains or both on higher floors as the hotel dwarfs the immediate surrounding buildings.

Good hotel - Great view
Good hotel. We spent a little more than usual (around $20 a night) and got the biggest room, with the best view. It was a nice view of the water, though it was too far away to really see the beach.
