A nice find...
A fabulous find (Agoda.com). We had no complaints with this place at all - friendly, helpful and professional staff that gave us helpful hints, took care of our laundry, let us borrow some rusty old bikes for a ride around town and kindly arranged our onward private vehicle-hire for 5 people to Hue at a decent rate. We were always greeted with smiles and welcomes.
The room was fine - maybe a bit dated - but large and comfortable nonetheless and spotlessly clean. An important point because I was recovering from a severe chest infection and dust would have just aggravated the situation. The aircon worked well but the wi-fi was poor at times.
The breakfast was one of the better experiences that we'd had in Vietnamese hotels. Great quality with much more choice and variety and you could even get freshly made pancakes on demand!
The location was pretty good for the price and our street was relatively calm and quiet.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

There was also a swimming pool but we didn't use it - mostly because it looked cold and the chairs didn't look too clean. The location of the pool meant that it rarely got any direct sunlight. Being unwell at the time, I wasn't keen to try it out!
Just above the pool was the 'breakfast' area that you could frequent at any time and this was a nice place to chill out and catch a chat with friends. A feature that is often missing in Vietnamese hotels.
