Friendly boutique hotel

3 year old beautifully maintained hotel in new part of town. 10 mins walk to UNESCO listed old town. Really enjoyable stay due to fantastic staff and spacious rooms with beautiful furnishing and clean bathrooms. Get the deluxe rooms with balcony views of the rural fields. Sometimes you can see buffalos and kids playing. Really relaxed atmosphere and you will hear roosters crowing at dawn. Only downside is the lack of lifts - 2 set of stairs but they have ground floor rooms.

Free internet. Staff are really helpful unlike some other hotels in Hoi An. You can book direct with the owner Thanh through the hotel website or thanhxuanhotel@dng.vnn.vn. Can also rent motorbikes/bicycles and book tours through the hotel but they are not pushy about this at all. Breakfast is served in the back garden - very good pancakes and Vietnamese coffee or fruit juice.

Unique Quality: Most friendly hotel we have ever stayed in. Really added to our Hoi An experience.

A nifty new place with the best bathtubs

Nice design, nice rooms and nice price. Fully equipped and up-to-date rooms offering international standard at resonably prices.

The restaurant serves local specialties, European and Asian dishes. They also offer services such as internet ( free), fax, international phone calls, bookings for local tours and transportation (planes, coaches and trains).

The hotel staffs are friendly and courteous but only the front desk staffs are more conversant in English.

Unique Quality: It has to be their bathtub! Especially after a hot day out and a dip in the tub, oh, it's heavenly!

They have complimentary breakfast too though not many varieties but you will be served in a well maintained garden.

More about Thanh Xuan (Long Life) Hotel

Thanh Xuan Hotel, Hoi An

by TripAdvisor Member JATO

Stayed in this hotel with family recently after seeing it rated as number one hotel in Hoi An by Trip Advisor members.

There were loads of good points - including as previously mentioned the banana pancakes for breakfast - really delicious!! And eating outside overlooking the rice field is a fabulous way to start the day. We also had the best cups of tea here, really big ones!

Other highlights were the staff - incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about where to go and opportunities to explore the area. We really enjoyed talking to them and found them to be a real asset to the hotel.

The only thing that wasn't 100% was the shower - we were on the fourth floor and the pressure wasn't so good, although our brother and sister were on the 1st floor and said theirs was good.

Overall we'd recommend this hotel because it's got a good location and a really welcoming feel.

Minibus from Danang Int'l Airport to Hoi An

by kelnsha

Almost every Hoi An hotel provides and charges land transfers from Danang International Airport to Hoi An town. A minibus will cost from USD2-3 per person depending on the number of people in a minibus.

We stayed at Thanh Xuan Hotel in Hoi An. Initially, the agreed price was USD12 over the email but it became USD20 (about USD3 per person) because there were 7 of us instead of 4.

Excellent Accomodation

by TripAdvisor Member TravelBugFamilyOf5

We stayed at the Thanh Xuan Hotel in late January 2007 with our three children, aged 9, 11 & 12 for 4 nights.

We stayed at this hotel after another hotel in town let us down on our requirements. They went out of their way to accomodate our family on the first evening.

We found the rooms lovely and clean, the ones that overlook the garden are very quiet. The best part about our stay was definately the service. All the girls are lovely and were fantastic with our children., definately the best service we got in Vietnam. The breakfast was great, we all loved the banana pancakes, and the fruit shakes too. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

An oasis from the over-stimulating Vietnam

by TripAdvisor Member ShutterBugHeather

After travelling around Vietnam for the last two months we arrived in Hoi An for alittle beach time and R&R. We have been travelling budget hotels the entire time and were so relieved to arrive at the Thanh Xuan (also known as the Long LIfe hotel in English). We had planned to stay 4 days and stayed 10. I'm not sure how they do hotel ratings but it sure seems like more than a two star.
The hotel has very helpful staff and we so enjoyed the garden vibe in the back for breakfast and late afternoon beer. It was our oasis from the craziness Vietnam can be. We are sad to be leaving just before Tet because the hotel made us feel like family and the lunar new year is a family affair.

Tip: there is a great wine store next door with European and Australian wines. Nice to enjoy your balcony.
Tip: the hotel serves an amazing Cau Lao in the garden and it's the same price you would pay in the market.

Best hotel we stayed at in Vietnam -- didn't want to leave

by TripAdvisor Member chemonster

This hotel, and the city of Hoi An was an oasis of calm and tranquility in Vietnam. The hotel setting amongst green fields, yet a couple of blocks from the town center is ideal. They arrange pickup car service and also help see you off for a great price. The staff is professional, friendly, helpful and dependable. Free and easy internet access with 4 termainals in the lobby. The place is clean and beautiful. Great value for money. The back of the hotel looks onto endless green fields. And there is a a tranquil lush, peaceful garden where breakfast and lunch is served. I didn't want to leave Thanh Xuan. A definite highpoint in our trip was our stay here. Thanks to everyone at the Thanh Xuan for making our stay so enjoyable.

January 2007 stay

by TripAdvisor Member Silentnoon

We booked this hotel on the strength of the reviews here IN SPITE of the price. I mean that we had expected to pay about twice the amount for a hotel in Hoi An. We staryed for three nights, were with our son and his girlfriend, had two rooms and booked two tours through the hotel (one to My Son and one to Da Nang with drop-off at the airport and were picked up at the airport as well). We were still amazed when the bill came--$230 for everything. I asked how old the building was thinking that it was less than six months old but they said it was 2 1/2 years old. It looks so new because they are always cleaning and polishing. I don't think I've ever stayed in a cleaner hotel. Lovely staff, good location, nice room... If only all travel experiences could be this good.

A great place to stay

by TripAdvisor Member JohnHarvard

This is a great place to stay. Convenient location, great staff, good breakfast and nice rooms.

The staff helped us when my wife had a cold, arranged trips for us, and assisted us in any way that we needed.

The breakfast in the garden is great. We reserved a deluxe room that overlooked a field and was very quite and large.

Hi there
I stayed at Vinh Hung 2 - you can see my review on my Hoi An Page - hope the other hotels in the chain are of a similar quality, as the one I stayed at was nice, i.e. clean and comfortable, although not high end of course! I would definitely stay there again.

Hi,

Vinh Hung 3 is good with swimming pool. Other similar option will be Thuy Duong 3 which is very closed Vinh Hung 2, 3.

Cheers
