Yes, it is possible. This is a customised tour. If you want, you can suggest the tour operator in Hue. I give you a reliable website for your reference www.ecotravelvietnam.com. They are operating in Hue city.

Best regards!

Travel Tips for Hue

the perfume river

by call_me_rhia

The Perfume River is a river which divides Hue in two parts, and although it deosn't have a particular perfume, it's a beautiful river to navigate... it's also a scenic way to reach the famous royal tombs.

It starts in the Truong Son mountain range and ocne it reaches the outskirts of Hue it's quite a placid river with clear blue waters with only one dark stretch along the foot of Ngoc Tran Mountain, where there is the Hon Chen Temple... the reason? Waters there are really deep. What I liked best was the tranquillity of the area... the small villages on the river shores and the people living their daily life... often on a boat... either going somewhere, transporting goods or busy fishing. A simple but peaceful life.

Dress and Behavoir Rules for Pagodas & Temples

Write up coming soon...although I think the sign says it all

Be sure to show respect when visiting the Temples and Pagodas by wearing appropriate dress and behaving properly

The Military Museum

by Blatherwick

This is your typical Vietnamese military museum with the usual American and Soviet weapons. It includes a decent outdoor armoured vehicle display and a MIG 17. There is a video that a Dutch guy and I watched and it was so hopelessly propogandic they we were desperately trying not to laugh too much. I mean that it was over the top.

The museum is located in behind the school that is across from the Imperial Museum at 3 D Le Truc. Admission was 10,000 Dong.

Train

by muddybok

Travel by train in Vietnam may sound like a good idea. It's slightly more expensive than buses and of course cheaper than air.

One set back is the cafe helper cannot speak English. Order food on the train is almost near to impossible since they do not have a menu (not even a Vietnamese menu). Food menu in English, you just forget about it.

Good local cuisine

by betska about Ushi Bar & Restaurant

This place had some interesting local specialities to try. Also a nice little bar & free pool A local dish called "Banh Khoai". Very thin rice pancakes served with shrimp, pork and bean sprouts, you roll them up yourself with a special peanut sauce.
