Mount Stromlo ObservatoryOriginally established as the Commonwealth Solar Observatory in 1924,
it was subsequently known as the Commonwealth Observatory. Mt Stromlo
Observatory has been part of the Australian National University since 1957.
This Observatory was caught in the 2003 bush fires and it has since been re built.
